    • A low voltage power receptacle assembly is adapted for providing access to low voltage power in compact spaces. The low voltage power receptacle assembly includes a circuit subassembly that is operable to transform a line voltage input, such as about 110V to 220V AC, to a lower voltage output, such as about 2V to 12V DC. Electrical input conductors receive and convey the line voltage from a power source to the circuit subassembly, while electrical output conductors convey the lower voltage output from the circuit subassembly to a low voltage power receptacle that may be spaced some distance from the circuit subassembly. The low voltage power receptacle is mountable in different housings, faceplates, and the like, to accommodate different mounting styles and locations.

    • An interchangeable base system is provided for use with an electrical power and/or data unit in a work area or the like. The base system includes a bottom housing portion associated with the electrical unit, with the bottom housing portion having a mechanical receptacle portion. The base system further includes at least two different mounts, each having an engaging portion configured to mate with the receptacle portion, and each having a different distal mounting portion. The different distal mounting portions are configured for mounting to different types of surfaces, so that the electrical unit may be configured for installation in different locations or in different ways.

    • A low voltage power receptacle assembly is provided for use in a modular electrical system. The receptacle assembly includes a housing that defines an internal cavity for receiving and protecting various high and low voltage electrical components, and for providing convenient access to low voltage power outlets associated therewith. The receptacle assembly houses at least two electrical bus bars that are spaced apart and that conduct line voltage received from a relatively high voltage power input. A low voltage transformer has at least two electrical contacts for engaging the electrical bus bars, and is operable to convert the line voltage to a lower output voltage at the power outlets. An isolator body has a non-conductive wall positioned between the electrical bus bars to maintain electrical isolation thereof.

    • A floor runner with electrical and/or electronic or data outlets provides a low-profile, unobtrusive power and/or data source along a floor or other support surface. The electrical floor runner may be a one-piece unit of substantially any desired length, and typically includes a power cord with plug or connector at one end for coupling to a wall outlet or the like, and a power/data block at the other end for receiving power and/or data couplers for other devices, such as computers and electronics, lighting, etc. A middle portion is a strong, low-profile region that houses and protects electrical wiring held internally, and that is minimally intrusive for use in walking areas. Optionally, the floor runner may be modular so that its overall length or configuration (e.g., straight or angled) can be changed as desired.
