摘要： Various embodiments of the system and method relate to improvements in co-channel interference mitigation in shared spectrum environments operating under the aegis of a Spectrum Access System and companion database. Implementation orchestrates, detects, and obtains noise measurements from a potentially-affected receiver utilizing programmed reduction of transmitted power from a potential interferer when the two entities connect over the Internet or other communication network. Receivers and transmitters may use the method with the same or different Physical Layers (PHYs) and protocols. In one embodiment, a momentary reduction of transmitter power is noted during which putative interference is measured at the receiver. In another embodiment, an isolated burst is sent from a not-yet commissioned transmitter to contemporaneously detect possible interference at an operating receiver. A third embodiment can be used to measure and mitigate interference from a stationary mobile transmitter. A fourth embodiment establishes hosting for potential interference recognition as a service.

摘要： A security device for detecting the position of a manhole cover includes a pinger device, such as an acoustic pinger, that transmits a signal in the direction of the expected position of the manhole cover. The device takes energy samples to determine if the signal has been reflected back by the manhole cover. If the device determines the signal has not been reflected, it determines that the manhole cover has been moved from the expected position. In response, the device captures an image of an area around the expected position of the manhole cover. In addition, the device can notify a remote security station via a network that the manhole cover has been moved.

摘要： A path configuration message is sent to nodes in a multi-hop network along a path between a source node and destination nodes. The path configuration message includes path information and one or more special channel access parameters associated with the path information. The path configuration message temporarily changes the channel access priority for packets matching the path information in the special message. The nodes along the path therefore have higher channel access priority relative to other nearby nodes and other traffic flows. At the end of the a length of a time determined by a time to live parameter in the special message, the nodes resume using default channel access parameters in place of the special channel access parameters for packets matching the path information.

The second band of frequencies is optimally selected with an offset of less than twice a frequency contained within said first band. The wireless radiotelephone communication apparatus has a common baseband circuitry for operating with both the first base station covering the wide area and with the second base station covering the local area, the common baseband circuitry processing received radiotelephone signals from both base stations and processes signals generated by a user of the handset for transmission to either of these base stations.

摘要： A circuit for maximizing power transfer from a station to an interactive memory card via a capacitive interface. A reader system in the station generates an ac signal which provides operating power that is transferred to the card through the capacitive interface formed when the card is placed against a window on the station. The ac signal from the station is directed through a series resonant circuit to the card. The capacitive interface between the station and card make up the capacitive element of the resonance circuit while the series combination of the secondary of a transformer and an electrically variable inductor form the inductive element. Use of the variable inductor allows the station to tune the circuit to resonance and cancel the capacitive element, thereby maintaining maximum power transfer to the card.
