摘要： A securement system for anchoring a medical article to a patient includes a pliant holding device. The device has a body and a plurality of tentacles extending from the body. The tentacles compress and may conform around at least a portion of the medical article to form a secure mount. The holding device may also cushion the medical article and protect the site of attachment on the patient while promoting air circulation. The holding device may include a support and a hinge so that the holding device may be swung away from the medical article to provide easy access for a medical provider.

The medical article can include a first flap comprising a dual density mesh formed of a first and second filament, a second flap comprising a single density mesh formed of the first filament, and a third flap comprising a single density mesh formed of the second filament. The first, second, and third flap can share a common intersection that can form an arc. The medical article can be formed by knitting a uniform piece of mesh and the arc can be configured to conform to a surface of a pelvic organ. Methods of manufacturing and methods of using the medical article are also disclosed.

摘要： Systems and methods for protecting a series capacitor bank are provided. According to one exemplary embodiment of the invention, there is disclosed a capacitor protection circuit. The capacitor protection circuit may include a capacitor bank, a pilot circuit and a main commutation gap. The pilot circuit and the main commutation gap may be provided in parallel electrical communication with the capacitor bank. Additionally, one or more plasma injectors may be provided in series electrical communication with the pilot circuit. The plasma injectors may be operable to provide partially or completely ionized plasma across the main commutation gap to make conductive the main commutation gap.
