In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include at least one logic circuit and at least one memory circuit coupled to the at least one logic circuit, the at least one memory including program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the at least one logic circuit, cause the IHS to: determine an expected time duration of a future wake event; receive a verbal command from a user, the verbal command configured to trigger the future wake event; capture the verbal command as an audio signal; adjust at least one of: a quality of the audio signal or a duration of the audio signal, where the adjustment is based, at least in part, upon the expected time duration; and store the adjusted audio signal in a fixed-size buffer.

The filter driver provides a locked media signal to the next sequential item rather than to a media stream until and unless the filter is unlocked. The locked media signal may be a blank screen, a text message, an icon, a static image (such as an avatar, a photograph, etc., pixilated video, or some other predetermined output). Also, in various embodiments, the driver is locked by default, thereby increasing user trust that the video camera only transmits a media signal when desired.

摘要： Information handling system errors are presented at a display with the information handling system graphics subsystem inoperative by communicating an identified error to the display through an auxiliary channel and generating a presentation of the error information with a microcontroller of the display. For example, errors determined by BIOS firmware running on a chipset are communicated through a DDC or I2C channel from the chipset to the display so that textual error messages are generated at the display without the use of the information handling system's graphic processor to generate an error message image.
