In the context of computer graphics and a rendering technique, the slanted viewer's use of three-dimensional rendering provides an instant view of full data without compromising the visibility of other view areas or data and with minimum user interactions. The slanted viewer combines the use of two-dimensional and three-dimensional concepts to enhance, as well as to preserve, a well-established user interaction environment and navigation system. The slanted viewer serves effectively in viewers showing extended length of text or objects horizontally.

    • An improved solution for managing development of a multi-tiered enterprise application. In particular, a plurality of logical tiers for the enterprise application are identified and a corresponding set of components for each of the logical tiers is obtained. An enterprise application view is generated based on the logical tiers and sets of components to provide an end-to-end graphical view of the enterprise application. The enterprise application view can be integrated with various development tools that are used to develop the components for the enterprise application. To this extent, the invention can automatically integrate component development artifacts for deployment. As a result, the invention can provide a truly integrated development environment for developing the enterprise application.

    • There is disclosed a method and system for presenting hierarchical objects in a linear view, in which each open container object is split into a pair of bracketing ends, the bracketing ends brackering therebetween any lower level objects contained in the container object. A multi-level hierarchical arrangement of container objects may be represented by multiple pairs of such bracketing ends arranged in a nested configuration. Both bracketing ends of each pair may be configured with a navigation control to close a corresponding container object. The linear hierarchical view may be placed in either a horizontal orientation or a vertical orientation, depending on the nature of the data. A visual characteristic may be used to identify and distinguish between hierarchical levels within the linear hierarchical view. To make more efficient use of available screen space, container objects in the linear hierarchical view may be dynamically collapsible.
