    • An input device includes: a main body portion having one surface; a movable portion having a contact surface formed in the one surface of the main body portion, is operated through the contact surface and is movable relative to the main body portion; a supporting portion that is provided in the main body portion and movably supports the movable portion; an applying portion that applies a force to move the movable portion; a determining unit that detects whether there is a contact with the contact surface of the movable portion and determines a state-of-contact whether the contact surface is in contact state or in non-contact state; a controller that controls the applying portion to move the movable portion to a predetermined position when the determined state-of-contact changes from contact state to non-contact state; and an output unit that detects and outputs the amount of movement of the movable portion relative to the main body portion while the determined state-of-contact, and does not output the amount of movement when the controller moves the movable portion.

    • This sheet multifeed determination device is capable of accurately detecting a sheet multifeed state, and the sheet multifeed determination device includes: a separating member side sheet speed detecting part which detects a transport speed of a sheet surface on the separating member side of a sheet transported to a nip unit of a paper feed roll and a separating member pressure-contacting mutually; a multifeed sheet detecting part which detects presence of plural sheets in the course of being transported through the nip unit; and a multifeed state determination part which determines not to be in a multifeed state of sheets when the sheet speed detected by the separating member side sheet speed detecting part is V2≦0 and determines to be in the multifeed state of sheets in the case of V2>0 in a condition where the multifeed sheet detecting part detects multifed sheets.

    • There is provided a sheet feeding apparatus including a first feeding member that feeds at least one of the sheets from a feeding tray; a second feeding member that feeds the sheet fed by the first feeding member; a separating member, wherein a nip portion is formed between the separating member and the second feeding member, and when two sheets are entered the nip portion, the separating member separates one of the entered sheets from the other; an adjusting unit that changes a force of the separating member; a detecting unit that detects at least one of a distance by which the other of the entered sheets is transported beyond the nip portion and an advancing speed of the other of the entered sheets at the nip portion; and a controller that controls the adjusting unit based on a detection value of the detecting unit.

    • A haptic interface device includes a detection section for detecting the state of operation on an operating section performed by an operator or the position of the operating section and outputting a signal indicating the detected state or position; a driving section for electromagnetically driving the operating section to provide a reaction force to the operator; and a control section for controlling the driving section according to the signal output from the detection section and based on interface definition information in which is defined specification information for the operating section to behave as an interface apparatus. The control section produces a reaction force corresponding to the operation performed by the operator to provide an operational feeling that would be produced by the interface apparatus behaved by the operating section when operated. Thus, the haptic interface device provides operational feelings associated with various operations to the operator through their sense of touch with a single operation member.
