    • The subject matter disclosed herein provides a network entry and recovery mechanism using a map. In one aspect, there is provided a method. The method may insert a plurality of packets into a plurality of data regions. A map may be inserted into one of the data regions. The map may include information to enable decoding of the plurality of data regions, a location of other maps within the plurality of data regions, and a size of the map. The plurality of data regions may be provided to enable the plurality of data regions to be transmitted to one or more client stations. Related systems, apparatus, methods, and/or articles are also described.

    • A method, apparatuses, and system of broadcasting content data in a macro-diversity region of a data frame includes receiving a stream of transport packets. Selecting at least one burst size, from amongst a set of a plurality of predetermined burst sizes. Allocating one or more data bursts with the selected burst size to the macro-diversity region of the data frame, each data burst comprising at least a portion of the received transport packets and wherein the at least one burst size is selected so as to minimize a number of data bursts allocated to the macro-diversity region. Then communicating the allocation of data bursts to a transmitter that includes the allocation of data bursts in the macro-diversity region of a data frame transmitted by the transmitter.

    • Allocations for access in a wireless system may be tiled onto a subframe having a first dimension and a second dimension. In an exemplary embodiment, allocations are distributed along the first dimension while the second dimension is locked, and the allocations are distributed along the second dimension while the first dimension is locked. In another exemplary embodiment, allocations are striped by extending a length of a first allocation along the first dimension and by expanding a breadth of the first allocation along the second dimension responsive to a size of the first allocation and by extending a length of a second allocation along the second dimension and expanding a breadth of the second allocation along the first dimension responsive to a size of the second allocation. In yet another exemplary embodiment, multiple allocations are placed proximately to an allocation placement target and allocation-free areas are produced on a subframe.

    • A multicast broadcast service controller is disclosed. The MBSC processes multicast broadcast data streams for transmission to access service network gateways or base stations. The MBSC includes a MBSC core processor for establishing time synchronization information used the by the access service network gateways or base stations to synchronously transmit data streams. The MBSC core processor selects streams for transmission in a time diversity interval (TDI) and builds multicast broadcast (MBS) region content based on the selected streams and configuration information. The MBS region content includes timing synchronization information, resource information and MBS region content location information. A MBS region distribution module (MRD) transmits the MBS region content to the access service network gateways or base stations.
