    • Provides a service providing device and method enabling a user to accept the service by utilizing the capabilities of several various devices. At least one physical device is selected for the user based on the service requirement. The user accepts the service via the selected physical device or devices. The invention “hides” the physical devices by using a virtual device to provide the service for users. Furthermore, the invention provides a “tailored” virtual device based on the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service, and may provide to the user the “tailored” information suitable for the user. The operating environment of the virtual device according to the invention is dynamically changeable according to the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service. Thus, a seamless service may be provided to the user.

    • A radio planning method and apparatus for determining the setting scheme of base stations in an indoor environment is provided. A radio signal propagation model is generated including a theoretical attenuation part and an environment affecting part. Through on-site measurements, a site radio signal propagation characteristics database is constructed combining the indoor radio signal propagation model and on-site measurement results. Based on the environment-dependent database, a radio signal map representing the radio signal distribution to be generated in the site in the case of placing any type of base station in any position is generated, using the indoor radio signal propagation model. By applying a signal-to-quality mapping, the distribution of a specific quality metric for any base station is obtained. Thus, by inputting different base station parameters, respective radio signal maps can be generated to optimize positioning of base stations.

According to the invention, a multimedia messaging service system comprising a wireless LAN, a multimedia messaging service user device and a multimedia messaging service gateway, the user device communicates with the gateway via the wireless LAN so as to send and receive multimedia messages. Furthermore, the gateway of the invention detect whether the user device is located within the wireless LAN. If yes, then multimedia messages are sent and received via the wireless LAN; and if not, then via conventional telecom network.     • The present invention relates to a mobile phone and a method for its operation and control. The mobile phone is capable of receiving the message sent by other mobile phones through a message transmission system. The method comprises: receiving the message from another mobile phone, wherein the received message comprises a presentation part and an associated control part, the control part being used for the control and management of the processing of the received message; extracting the control part from the received message; and executing the operation related to the message based on the extracted control part. According to an embodiment, if the control part received by the mobile phone comprises the notification mode control command, the mobile phone issues a message notification according to the notification mode control command, disregarding the message notification mode pre-configured on the mobile phone. Thus the requirement of the sender personalized message service can be satisfied.
