A secure application key may be received from a secure server by an OSM integrated within the gigabit Ethernet IP telephone chip for processing the received Ethernet data. The received Ethernet data may be processed by the gigabit Ethernet IP telephone chip based on the received secure application key. A unique security identifier internal to the single gigabit Ethernet IP telephone chip may be communicated off-chip to the secure server. The unique security identifier may identify the single gigabit Ethernet IP telephone chip. The secure server may authenticate the gigabit Ethernet IP telephone chip based on the unique security identifier internal to the single gigabit Ethernet IP telephone chip, prior to the receiving of the secure application key.

In a particular embodiment, the method includes receiving call source information and call destination information at a mediation messaging server of an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) system, where the call source information and the call destination information are related to a call received via at least one of a switch of a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and a wireless telephone network. The method also includes determining account information based on the call destination information and sending the account information and the call source information to a notification server of the IPTV system, where the notification server sends the call source information to a set-top box device of an IPTV user via an access network of the IPTV system.

A priority class may be assigned by the 802.1p and 802.1Q compliant QoS Ethernet switch to at least a portion of the received packetized data. The received packetized data may be processed by the 802.1p and 802.1Q QoS compliant Ethernet switch based on the assigned priority class. The priority class may comprise a high priority class and/or a low priority class. If the priority class comprises a high priority class, the portion of the received packetized data may be buffered in a high priority buffer integrated within the 802.1p and 802.1Q QoS compliant Ethernet switch.

摘要： A system daemon starts through normal system startup procedures and reads its configuration file to determine which data entities (e.g., directories and files) are to be monitored. The monitoring includes a valid MD5 signature, correct permissions, ownership of the file, and an existence of the file. If any modification are made to the data entities, then the system daemon generates an alarm (intended for the administrator of the host) that an intrusion has taken place. Once an intrusion is detected, then the isolating steps or commands are issued in a real-time continuous manner to protect the host system from attack or intrusion.
