摘要： Disclosed is an information viewing apparatus, which makes it possible for the user to conduct operations for inputting information and establishing various kinds of functions only by conducting consecutive simplified operations from a multi-touchable touch panel. The apparatus includes a display section provided with a multi-touchable touch panel having first and second touch panels, and a control section that controls the display section. In a state that the display section is displaying a document, when detecting a predetermined dragging action, the control section makes the display section displays an inputting screen, which allows the user to conduct an inputting operation from the second touch panel, during a time when a touching status is maintained in such a manner that the inputting screen overlaps the document. When the touching status is released, the control section controls the display section so as to make the inputting screen evacuate from the document.

摘要： Disclosed is the information viewing system, which makes it possible to speedily output an image represented by data even when an operation for outputting the image onto a predetermined medium is disabled. The system includes an information viewing apparatus, a supporting device to detachably support the information viewing apparatus and the image forming apparatus onto which the supporting device is mountable. The system is so constituted that, in case that a data writing operation onto the printing medium becomes impossible at the time of commencing or in mid-course of implementing the data writing operation onto the printing medium, while the data writing operation onto the information viewing apparatus is enabled, the image forming apparatus changes the writing destination medium from the printing medium to the information viewing apparatus, in order to continuously implement the data writing operation onto the information viewing apparatus instead of the printing medium, and vice versa.

摘要： When a user selects not to insert advertisement data into scan data when transferring the scan data from an MFP to a Web server, the MFP converts the advertisement data into an HTML format to transfer to the Web server in association with the scan data. The image forming apparatus includes a ranging sensor which measures a distance to an object from a position located away by a predetermined distance from a bottom surface of the output tray in a sheet loading direction on a line in parallel with the bottom surface of the output tray and orthogonal to a direction in which the sheet is discharged. In the image forming apparatus, discharge of the sheet onto the output tray is stopped when the distance to the object measured by the ranging sensor is lower than a specific distance.

The plurality of distance sensors measure distance as for each certain position of an original document table. The original document size detection board comprises an EEPROM for storing a threshold value and an original document size detection CPU 1 for implementing a program for original document size detection. The original document size detection board judges the presence or the absence of an original document at each preset position of an original document table by comparing each threshold value from the plurality of distance sensors with the threshold value, detects the size of an original document according to the judging result from the original document size detection board, and outputs data indicative of the detected original document size. The main unit control CPU 2 implements a program for original document reading control.
