    • A system providing a bi-directional feedback loop that assists project management to make timely decisions and alterations based on personal calendar data retrieved from team members' calendars. The system provides a project manager user with perceptible alerts in a project manager user interface in response to detecting a conflict between proposed or actual personal calendar events of a team member user and deliverables assigned to that team member user. The project manager user interface enables the project manager to take an action in the event such a conflict is detected. Project manager actions in this regard may include permitting a conflicting personal calendar event, forbidding the conflicting personal calendar event, delegating the conflicting deliverable to another team member, adjusting the deliverable requirements, and/or escalating the conflict to a higher level of management.

    • A system and method for complex determination of a user's busy state and for assigning a do not disturb (DND) filter. A first electronic device is configured to house a DND recognizer module. The first electronic device is further configured to store and execute a plurality of applications. A second electronic device operably associated with the first electronic device. The second electronic device having another DND recognizer module, a DND filter module, and a DND propagator module. The DND filter module is configured to determine whether a particular DND filter is associated with the current busy state of the user and to adjust the DND status provided a DND filter does exist. The DND propagator configured to propagate the DND status to all at least one device operably associated with the system provided a DND status exists for the current busy state of the user.

    • The present invention describes an adaptive control system being preferably part of the portal, which provides a sophisticated method for a partial sequential and parallel invocation of portlets depending on the available resources and system utilization. Based on defined time mark for rendering content (maximum invocation time for displaying a portal page or a portal-wide portlets rending time mark), a number of available threads, and estimated invocation time for each portlet the inventive method determines and invokes a first group of portlets (80,90) providing the maximum number of portlets to be invoked sequentially without exceeding defined time mark for rending content, and then all remaining portlets (80,90) are to be invoked parallel to that first group of portlets. The invention guarantees reasonable response times and high scalability and performance. (FIG. 9).

    • A computer program product and programmed method for performing cashless payments between a customer and a dealer via a bank. The invention is embodied in an on-line computerized process between customer and dealer to define the payment method, check the availability frame, issue a voucher to describe the transaction, issue a payment instruction, signature of the issued voucher by the dealer and signature of the payment instruction by the dealer and the customer. In another embodiment, the information is gathered and the voucher and payment instructions are generated off-line. A subsequent on-line process between the dealer and bank transfer the signed payment instruction and signed voucher to the bank where computer coded checks the dealer and customer signature, checks the allocation between payment instruction and voucher, replaces the dealer and customer identity data with information for performance of the payment instruction, and performs the payment instruction and stores the voucher. An advantage of the process is that no sensitive customer data such as account number, credit card number etc. is stored on the customer card and hence misuse by unauthorized persons is minimized. In addition the process serves to define the payment methods required by the customer for mechanical processing and to minimize the risk to the customer upon loss of the customer card. The process also allows customers who do not have a bank account, such as children for example, to have access to an electronic payment means with limited availability frame. The customer card can be either a card with contacts or a contactless card.
