    • A photoelectric switch includes a base having a tubular wall surrounding an axis, and a cover coupled to the base and including a rib unit that cooperates with the tubular wall to confine a rolling chamber. The rib unit has at least one portion overlapping the tubular wall. A light passage extends through the rolling chamber and two diametrically opposite sides of the tubular wall. A photoelectric unit is enclosed by the base and the cover, and includes a light emitter and a light receiver disposed respectively on two opposite ends of the light passage, and a rolling member disposed in the rolling chamber and movable between a blocking position to block the light passage and a non-blocking position to unblock the light passage.

    • A tilt switch includes a housing defining a chamber and including a frusto-conical inner wall surface having a cone angle which is less than or equal to 90 degrees, and a tapered bottom inner wall surface that defines a bottom end of the chamber, that tapers downwardly from a bottom end of the frusto-conical inner wall surface and that forms a cone angle which is greater than 90 degrees. A light emitter and a light receiver are disposed respectively at two opposite sides of the chamber. A rolling element is rollable in the chamber between blocking and unblocking positions, where the rolling element blocks and unblocks light emitted from the light emitter, respectively.

    • A rolling-ball switch includes a surrounding wall defining an axial hole and including two opposite open ends, and two metallic terminals plugged in the axial hole respectively from the open ends. The surrounding wall has an inner surface formed with two spaced-apart first annular recesses proximate to the open ends, respectively, and two spaced-apart second annular recesses respectively adjacent to the first annular recesses but distal from the respective open ends. Each terminal has an insert portion inserted into the axial hole, and axially spaced-apart first and second barbed surfaces formed annularly around the insert portion. The first barbed surface is engaged to a respective first annular recess. The second barbed surfaces of the metallic terminals are engageable respectively with the second annular recesses when the terminals expand due to heat. A ball member is disposed rollably in the axial hole to contact the terminals.

    • A rolling-ball switch includes an insulative casing part having first and second connecting faces and an intermediate through hole, insulative first and second covering parts each having a recessed inner side that covers the respective connecting face, and two metal plates respectively disposed between the first covering part and the first connecting face and between the second covering part and the second connecting face. The first and second recessed inner sides and the intermediate through hole cooperatively define a chamber. Each metal plate includes an inner peripheral edge having an edge portion projecting into the chamber. A conductive ball is disposed movably in the chamber, and has a diameter larger than a distance between the edge portions of the metal plates so that the conductive ball can bridge the edge portions of the metal plates to place the rolling-ball switch in an ON state.
