    • A system for managing a business process is provided. The system, in one example embodiment, includes a monitor, a collector, and a task pattern generator. The monitor may be configured to monitor ad-hoc events related to a task. Ad-hoc events may be associated with end-user task-management activities, such as, for example, events associated with a to-do item generated by an e-mail client module. The collector may be configured to collect data associated with the ad-hoc events related to task. The task pattern generator may be configured to generate a task pattern based on the collected data.

    • In one embodiment the present invention includes a computer implemented method of presenting relevant application components to a user of a computer system. The method includes capturing text displayed in open applications, determining key terms in the captured text based on a key terms catalog, and determining potentially relevant components by using the key terms to search a user interface dictionary. The user interface dictionary corresponds to a map between user interface strings and user interface components. The method further includes computing relevance scores for potentially relevant components, and presenting to the user the relevant components that correspond to relevant ones of the potentially relevant components, according to the relevance scores.

    • Methods and systems for scenario-based process modeling are described. In one example embodiment, a system for scenario-based process modeling can include a scenario module, a deviations module, a parallel tasks module, and a workflow generation engine. The scenario module is to receive a series of tasks to define a standard process flow. The deviations module is to receive a deviation from the standard process flow. The parallel tasks module is to enable identification of one or more parallel tasks. The workflow generation engine is to generate a workflow model based on the standard process flow, deviation, and one or more parallel tasks.

    • An activity scheme designer may associate an activity scheme with a task of a process model that includes a plurality of tasks, the activity scheme including a directed graph of nodes in which the nodes represent knowledge actions to be performed at least partially by human users, and in which edges of the directed graph connecting the nodes are probabilistically weighted. A workflow engine may instantiate the process model for execution, including associating an instance of the task with a user of the human users, the task instance including instance-specific data associated with completing the execution. An activity scheme transformer may transform the activity scheme for the user, based on the instance-specific data, a context of the user including applications and information resources available to the user, and a personal profile of the user.
