摘要： A module constructs a frame for communication in a communication system that supports a new standard and a legacy standard, the new standard being backward compatible with the legacy standard. The module comprises a first frame generator configured to generate a first portion of the frame, the first portion of the frame to support a first set of data to be transmitted in the legacy standard in each of a number of first bands, a second frame generator configured to generate a second portion of the frame, the second portion of the frame to support a second set of data to be transmitted in the new standard in a second band composed of the first bands, and a frame constructor configured to construct the frame based on the first portion of the frame from the first frame generator and the second portion of the frame from the second frame generator.

The base station assigns a channel access scheme for providing channel access to service data, wherein at least a portion of the service data is assigned to one of a reserved shared channel access scheme and a superimposed channel access scheme based on one or more characteristics of the network and one or more requirements of the service data. Network resources are then allocated according to the assigned channel access scheme. The service data is then transmitted using the allocated resources.

摘要： An adaptive channel estimator for estimating channel frequency responses when receiving OFDM symbols. The adaptive channel estimator comprises a channel estimator and a channel tracking module. The channel estimator generates one first channel frequency response for each OFDM symbol when operated in the first mode, and generates the channel frequency responses of a second channel frequency response for every N-th OFDM symbols when operated in the second mode, wherein N is a constant integer exceeding one and j is a non-negative integer. The channel tracking module indicates a channel status, and controls the channel estimator to operate in a first mode or a second mode according to the channel status.

摘要： A method for data transmissions in a wireless communication system includes: allocating resources for data to be transmitted; providing a seed number from the communication system; setting, based on the seed number, at least one parameter for a pseudo-random mapper having an input variable and an output variable; initializing an array with a number of base elements; increasing a current value of the input variable by a current value of a counter; and calculating a value of the output variable based on the pseudo-random mapper and the increased value of the input variable. The method further includes: swapping a first base element and a second base element in the array, the first base element being identified based on the current value of the counter, and the second base element being identified based on the value of the output variable; performing permutation on the resources by using the array as a permutation sequence; and transmitting the data.
