    • A multiband antenna includes a plurality of radiation elements, operative within different frequency bands. The multiband microline antenna includes a base substrate that has a signal feeding trace and a partial ground plane, and two or more additional substrates that have multiple microline radiation elements electromagnetically coupled to the signal feeding trace. Each microline radiation element has a width not greater than 0.1 millimeter, and varies in length and resonant frequency. Various disclosed embodiments include a multiband microline folded monopole antenna, a multiband microline loop antenna, a multiband microline inverted-F antenna and a multiband microline π-shaped antenna.

    • A method includes estimating spatial signatures of the signal and interference data streams, forming a composite channel matrix comprising all or a subset of estimated spatial signatures, performing QR decomposition (QRD) of channel matrix with different spatial orderings, selecting the stream with the largest post-detection signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) based on the elements of the R matrices from different QRD processes, pre-processing received signal using the Q matrix corresponding to the spatial ordering with the largest SINR, demodulating the strongest stream using single-stream sliced maximum likelihood (SSS-ML) method, cancelling the strongest stream and demodulating the remaining weaker streams using low-complexity MMSE method.

    • Various embodiments of an integrated multiband bandpass apparatus based on concentric dielectric ring resonators includes one or more radio frequency (RF) input transmission lines for receiving multi-band RF signals, multiple RF output transmission lines for receiving and transmitting multiple single-band RF signals, and a set of dielectric ring resonators coupled in between. The disclosed integrated multi-band bandpass apparatus based on dielectric ring resonators can support at least two operation modes, i.e., a multi-band bandpass filtering mode when used in one direction and a multi-band bandpass multiplexing mode when used in an opposite direction. When operating in the multi-band bandpass filtering mode, the multiple dielectric ring resonators can be used to simultaneously filter multi-band RF signals into multiple single-band bandpass signals. When operating in the multi-band bandpass multiplexing mode, the dielectric ring resonators can be used to multiplex multiple single-band bandpass signals into a multi-band RF signal.
