    • The invention discloses a multiprocessor System and synchronous engine device thereof. the synchronous engine includes: a plurality of storage queues, wherein one of the queues stores all synchronization primitives from one of the processors; a plurality of scheduling modules, selecting the synchronization primitives for execution from the plurality of storage queues and then according to the type of the synchronization primitive transmitting the selected synchronization primitives to corresponding processing modules for processing, scheduling modules corresponding in a one-to-one relationship with the storage queues; a plurality of processing modules, receiving the transmitted synchronization primitives to execute different functions; a virtual synchronous memory structure module, using small memory space and mapping main memory spaces of all processors into a synchronization memory structure to realize the function of all synchronization primitives through a control logic; a main memory port, communicating with virtual synchronous memory structure module to read and write the main memory of all processors, and initiate an interrupt request to processors; a configuration register, storing various configuration information required by processing modules.

    • A host includes an operating system segmented into a user space and a kernel space with a driver. The user space stores a firmware file and the kernel space includes memory. The driver is stored in the kernel space and performs download cycles to download the firmware file to the memory. The device driver, during a first download cycle, transfers a first block of data to the memory. During each download cycle performed subsequent to the first download cycle, the driver is configured to: identify first and second segments of the memory, where data including the first block of data was stored in the first segment during a previous download cycle; copy the data including the first block of data from the first segment to the second segment; and transfer a block of data of the firmware file, not previously stored in the memory, to the second segment.

    • Methods and systems are disclosed for forcing at least some members of a communication group to join a new group call when they are participating in an another group call to a different communication group. A wireless communication device that seeks to initiate the new group call transmits a request-to-transmit (RTT) on a reverse channel to initiate the new group call. This way, at least some of group members participating in the other group call can be allowed to join the new group call. The recipients of the RTT can then switch from a primary channel on which the other group call is taking place to an alternative channel to join the new group call. In one implemenation, the disclosed embodiments can be applied to a two-way wireless communication system that employs a TDMA channel access scheme.
