    • A MEMS (micro-electromechanical system) device having a rotor 44, a stator 43 and a shaft 27 connected to the stator 43 and around which the rotor 44 rotates. Grooves 47 are formed in a portion of the rotor 44, such that when the rotor 44 rotates an air bearing is formed for supporting the rotor 44 and maintaining its distance from the shaft 27 and stator 43. The rotor 44 is formed from joining two substrates 13, 23. One of the substrates 13 includes a surface having openings 7 including frustoconical walls, and one of the substrates 23 includes a surface having openings 15 including walls perpendicular to the surface of the substrate. The openings in the two substrates are in register with each other so that pairs of the openings form chambers 24. Each chamber 24 is provided with a shaft 27, which is positioned with a wide section of the shaft trapped in the chamber 24. The wide section of the shaft has a frustoconical surface facing the frustoconical walls of the chamber 24.

    • The present invention is directed to a vibration generating device used for mobile telephone, etc., which comprises a rotor (110), and a stator (120) for rotatably supporting the rotor, and serving to rotate the rotor to thereby generate vibration. The rotor comprises a bearing sleeve (160) consisting of resin molded material and rotatably attached to a fixed shaft (124) provided at the stator, a magnet (170) and a weight (180) positioned in eccentric state with respect to the bearing sleeve, wherein the bearing sleeve and the magnet are formed in the state where they are integrated by material resin of the bearing sleeve. The stator comprises, in addition to the fixed shaft, a bottom plate (121), a cover plate (122) and a coil (140) disposed in a manner opposite to the magnet, whereby the coil is energized so that the rotor is rotated, and the bearing sleeve is rotated in the state in contact with the bottom plate or the cover plate by attractive force exerted between the magnet and the bottom plate or the cover plate.

    • A motor driving apparatus and a driving method thereof, and a mobile terminal in which a terminal voltage value of a terminal is detected at a terminal voltage detection unit, and is held in a holding circuit. A difference between the terminal voltage value detected this time and the terminal voltage value detected last time and held in the holding circuit is calculated in a difference circuit, and the calculated difference voltage value is compared with a reference voltage value determining a rated frequency in a comparator. A synchronizing reference voltage value of a reference voltage source is controlled by a control circuit on the basis of each comparison result in the comparators and a frequency of a synchronizing reference signal specified as a basic operation time unit at the time of synchronous driving is corrected so that a stable synchronous operation condition can be obtained before a rotor of a brushless motor steps out from a synchronous operation.
