摘要： A video processing system may include a video input and a video output for outputting manipulated video images. The system may have a video processing chain connecting the video input to the video output. The chain may include a series connection of two or more video processing components. The components may each include a component input for receiving video images and a component output for outputting processed video images. A control input may be present for controlling the video processing component to be in an enabled or a disabled state. The video processing component may be arranged to obtain in the enabled state the processed video images by performing a respective processing operation on the received video images; and to obtain in the disabled state the processed video images by forwarding the received video images to the component output without performing the processing operation.

摘要： A mechanism is described for facilitating chromatic adaptation of display contents based on chromatic monitoring of environmental light at computing devices. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes receiving sensory input data indicating one or more ambient colors based on real-time or periodic chromatic monitoring of environmental light surrounding the apparatus. The method may further include referring the sensory input data against contents of a lookup table to determine color compensation of content based on the one or more ambient colors, and dynamically facilitating chromatic adaptation of existing colors of the content based on the color compensation to compensate the content. The method may further include rendering the compensated content to be displayed via a display device.

摘要： To compress a MIDI format file it is converted to a format 0 file. The format 0 file is then scanned to reduce the number of possible instruments to 16. MIDI commands having no sound output are then eliminated and NoteOn and NoteOff commands are replaced by a PlayNote command. This eliminates instances of &Dgr;time equal to 0. Based on the characteristics of an appliance that has to play the compressed file, the notes are recentered in a bandwidth compatible with the appliance, after which the file is scanned to seek instances of polyphony. If an instance of polyphony exceeds the capacities of the appliance it is reduced in accordance with an instrument priority list and a note pitch.

Reception at either terminal is disabled if conversational activity signalling indicates absence of remote conversational activity, and transmission by either terminal is disabled in the absence of local conversational activity, saving power.
