摘要： A node may determine the topology of a computation system. The computation system is a network of nodes and multiple nodes are capable of being a grandmaster clock source. The method includes starting a best clock selection process, announcing clock information, and if the node is not acting grand master then receiving messages announcing clock information from other nodes of the network. Topology information is extracted from the messages, and if the node is acting grandmaster then retiring from the position of grandmaster. The best clock selection process steps are repeated until no node of the network becomes acting grandmaster.

摘要： A method for transmitting data using an Ethernet AVB transport protocol between nodes of a motor vehicle includes: reserving resources necessary for the transmission of the data by reservation messages from a dedicated protocol; setting flow of data from a node to a particular transmission rate and/or data rate; transmitting data at cyclic intervals via an Ethernet-based network by inputting the data into a transmission frame and forwarding to local transmitters; deactivating the local transmitters and receivers of a node in non-use periods, in which no data need to be transmitted; activating again the local transmitters and receivers of a node provided that data are pending transmission in a transmission frame, wherein the local transmitters and receivers are available for transmission following an activation time; and activating the local transmitters and/or receivers of the nodes based on a reservation message and a setting of the transmission rate and/or data rate.

For a data transmission with a guaranteed transmission time, a specific quality of service is reserved prior to the data transmission by reservation request from the sender of the data to the receiver of the data and the data transmission with a guaranteed transmission time is only started once a confirmation of the reservation request sent by the sender has been received. In addition, selected data that is to be transmitted in a guaranteed transmission time is sent directly as a data stream of data packets and a reservation request is sent after the start of the data stream.
