摘要： A portable dryer and disinfection device includes a container having an interior for receiving one or more electronic components for drying and disinfection. A lid is configured to be removably secured to an upper portion of the container. An ultraviolet light source is attached to a bottom portion of the lid, wherein ultraviolet light generated by the ultraviolet light source is directed into the interior of the container below the lid. A power source is disposed in the lid for providing electrical power to the ultraviolet light source. A tray is disposed within the interior of the container on which the one or more electronic components are placed for drying and disinfection. The tray includes holes that provide air flow communication through the removable tray. A removable desiccant holder is disposed at least partially within the interior of the container below the tray.

摘要： An electronic hearing aid apparatus comprises a first component, a second component and a cable assembly for electrically connecting the first component to the second component. The first component includes a vibration sensor generating a vibration signal based on sensed acoustic vibrations, electronics for processing and amplifying the vibration signal and an output port for providing access to the amplified vibration signal. The second component includes an input port for receiving the amplified vibration signal and a vibration generator for generating vibrations based on the amplified vibration signal. The cable assembly conducts the amplified vibration signal from the output port of the first component to the input port of the second component. The cable assembly includes a first connector for connecting to the first component, a second connector for connecting to the second component and a flexible cable portion for electrically connecting the first connector to the second connector. The first and second connectors each comprise an inner connector housing and an outer connector shell. The inner connector housing includes a rear cavity in which solder joints are disposed that provide electrical connection between the connector's contacts and the wires of the flexible cable portion. Potting material encases the solder joints within the rear cavity. The outer connector shell, which may be over-molded onto the inner connector housing in an injection molding process, encloses most of the inner connector housing and a portion of the flexible cable where the flexible cable connects to the inner connector housing.

The user may cycle through and evaluate various available programs by rotating a scroll wheel on the hearing aid housing to switch from one program to the next. When a preferred program is active, the user can press a push button on the housing for an extended time to select the currently active program. The user can then use the scroll wheel to adjust the audio gain for the selected program. The hearing aid may also operate in a Configuration Mode wherein configuration settings may be changed using the scroll wheel and the push button. In the Configuration Mode, a clinician or patient may easily change configuration settings manually, with no need to connect the apparatus to a computer or other programming interface.

摘要： A method for programming a hearing assistance device includes entering an audiogram into the memory of a mobile computing device, wherein the audiogram indicates a hearing loss profile of a user of the hearing assistance device. Based on the audiogram, the mobile computing device determines a preferred hearing correction algorithm for the user and transfers the preferred algorithm to the memory of the hearing assistance device, which also contains one or more preloaded hearing correction algorithms. During an initial setup procedure, the user listens to sounds amplified by the hearing assistance device while switching between the preferred algorithm and the preloaded algorithms, and selects the algorithm that sounds best for continued use in the hearing assistance device.
