    • The invention relates to a process for the treatment of gas containing mercaptans and acid gases, comprising the following steps: (1) separating the acid gases from the said gas and obtaining a sweetened gas and the flow of acid gases containing H2S; (2) reacting the H2S thus obtained in step (1) according to the Claus reaction; (3) concentrating themercaptans in at least one cut of the said sweetened gas; (4) extracting the mercaptans of the said cut; and further comprising: (5) transforming the mercaptans into dialkyl-disulfide (DSO); (6) hydrogenating DSO into H2S; and (7) reacting the H2S thus obtained at step (6) according to the Claus reaction. The invention also relates to an installation for carrying out this procedure.

    • Process for the operation of a gas turbine group (1) producing energy by combustion of a gaseous fuel (24) with a mixture of air gas. There is interconnected with the group (1) an air gas separation unit (7) producing at least two air gases (9; 10-13). The operating conditions of the turbine (3) of the group are maintained similar to those of maximum power production by selecting, with the aid of the separation unit (7), the parameters of the mixture of air gas. The combined assembly for the production of energy and at least one air gas comprises a gas turbine group (1), comprising a first compressor (2) coupled to a turbine (3) and a combustion circuit (5) between the outlet of the first compressor (2) and the inlet of the turbine (3); an air separation unit (7) comprising a second air compressor (14) connected to an air supply inlet (8) of the unit, an impure nitrogen outlet (9) and at least one other outlet (10-13) for an air gas; and structure (25, 26; 20, 23) selectively to connect the air inlet (8) to the outlet of the first compressor (2) or the impure nitrogen outlet (9) to the combustion circuit (5).

    • Process and installation for the production of a variable flow rate of at least one principal constituent of air under pressure, of the type in which the constituent is withdrawn in liquid phase from an air distillation apparatus (12), tills liquid is brought to a vaporization pressure, and the liquid is vaporized under this vaporization pressure by heat exchange (in 9; 25) with a calorigenic fluid under pressure. The flow rate of the product constituent is adjusted by modifying the flow rate of the liquid to be vaporized and the vaporization pressure. The vaporization pressure is intermediate the withdrawal pressure and the production pressure, and the gas resulting from the vaporization is compressed to the production pressure (in 20). The modification is effected so as to permit the compressor (20) of the resulting gas to follow its characteristic curve (1), and, to effect this modification, the liquid to be vaporized is throttled in a variable manner (in 18), or the liquid to be vaporized is pumped by a variable speed pump, or the liquid to be vaporized is pumped (in 17) by a constant speed pump, and a variable flow of it is returned (in 24)to the distillation apparatus (12), the rest of the liquid being vaporized.
