摘要： A reach back secure communications terminal includes a digital PBX adapter that offers immediate and secure voice, data and video connectivity over any of various commercially available PBX systems. In addition to use with a PBX system, integrated components simplify access to varied networks allowing deployed users to select and connect quickly to a network that best supports their present mission. Commercial or optional NSA Type 1 encryption may be implemented. Networking options include any of PSTN, PBX, GSM (or CDMA or other cell telephone standard), SAT, IP and WiFi. The digital PBX adapter includes an audio mixer that converts a 4-wire input from a handset jack of a PBX handset base, into a 2-wire output destined for an encryption unit (FNBDT). The user determines a necessary gain of the audio mixer for the particular PBX system by trial and error using a multi-position switch.

摘要： A reach back secure communications terminal includes a modem to satellite interconnect board that captures DTMF tones, demodulates encrypted modem information, and converts both into an ASCII string for presentation to a data port of a satellite phone, allowing out-of-band control of a non-secure satellite system (e.g., AT command control of a data port) by a user on a secure side of an encryption device, by including the ability to interpret control signals and control the satellite system appropriately. A false dial tone is presented to the encryption device, and the data stream coming from the encryption device is monitored for the presence of dual-tone, multi-frequency (DTMF) tones representing control signals, the DTMF tones are converted to ASCII characters, which are in turn received as control signals by the satellite phone, allowing control of the functions of the satellite system directly from the secure side of the encryption device.

The personality faceplate removes the encryption device from the reach back secure communications terminal, while leaving behind non-secure portions of the reach back secure communications terminal. This feature is most advantageous in emergency situations where a user needs to evacuate an area quickly, without the need to have to disconnect and carry in a secure manner the entire reach-back terminal. Because the personality faceplate with the encryption device attached is smaller than the entire reach-back terminal, it is more easily physically secured once removed.

摘要： A reservation system and methodology ensures that all changes to a database in a federation are reliably and immediately communicated to all of the other databases in the federation. The system communicates information concerning hotel reservation transactions. The system comprises multiple applications each associated with one or more databases including hotel reservation data. The databases in the federation reflect transactions that are communicated to other databases and they also employ information received from other databases in determining the transactions that their associated local applications permit and the way in which they are processed. In one embodiment of the invention, communication among databases occurs through the Internet and data storage devices via secure packetized messages addressed to objects that represent the relevant databases. The system of the present invention also preferably includes a central database that functions as the primary source for verifying reservations and hotel data. Additionally, the system of the present invention also includes a yield subsystem that allows hotels to increase revenues. The yield subsystem calculates rates and availability based upon forecasted changes in supply and customer segment demand.

摘要： A method and apparatus is described for encoding a video sequence of frames. Each frame in the video sequence is organized in blocks of pixels. A scene change is detected when a current frame in the video sequence is substantially different from a previous frame. When it is determined that the current frame is the change in scene, the current frame is coded to be an intra frame with each block of pixels of the intra frame is being an intra-coded block. Coding the sequence of frames produces a compressed bit stream having a coded intra frame at each scene change. Each coded intra frame provides an access point in the bit stream from which a storyboard of the scenes in the video sequence can be generated.
