    • An adjustable mechanism for an archery sight is characterized by a unique elevation and tension adjustment assemblies which allow a user to quickly and easily set the sight for optimum performance. The mechanism includes an elevation bar having an elevation carriage connected therewith for sliding movement along the bar in a first direction. A windage carriage is connected with the elevation carriage for movement in a second direction, and a sight is connected with the windage carriage. The elevation bar includes a drive screw and the elevation carriage includes a uniquely configured nut releasably connected with the drive screw so that the elevation carriage can be quickly displaced relative to the elevation bar. Tension adjustment between the elevation carriage and the elevation bar is provided by a unique adjustable cam and gib assembly operable by the user. In addition, tension between the windage carriage and the elevation carriage is afforded by a uniquely configured gib of synthetic plastic material in which the tensile strength of the material provides the necessary tension.

    • A bowstring nock has a first half section provided with a first bowstring half groove extending in a first direction and a first fastener hole extending in a second direction, perpendicular to the first direction; a second half section provided with a second bowstring half groove extending in the first direction and cooperable with the first half groove to grip a bowstring therebetween, and a second fastener hole adapted for alignment with the first fastener hole to receive a fastener and thereby secure the first and second half sections together. One of the first and second half sections also includes a tab extending in the first direction a distance greater than a length dimension of the first and second half grooves, to assist in orienting a peep sight device mounted on the bowstring, above the nock.

    • An archery sight can include a scope with a Venturi-like inner opening, smaller in diameter at a narrow position and increasing in diameter toward each end, to provide a circular field of view through a range of off-axis angles. Archery sights with pins, such as extending into a scope, can include sight pin components that include bodies, tube-like parts extending to sight pin ends, optical fibers in the bodies and tube-like parts, and flexible, light-transmissive tubing that engages the bodies and surrounds the fibers along most of their exterior length. Each tube-like part can be attached to its body by inserting it into a portion of the body that surrounds it and then bending the portion of the body to produce one or more bends or kinks but without reducing inside diameter, so that a fiber can then be threaded through the tube-like part.
