摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for communication, within a packet-mode communication network, between user equipment and a data network. A session is established between the user equipment and a data-network access gateway via an access network. The method includes: a step of detecting a request for access to a service on the basis of at least one packet transmitted by the user device via the established session; a first step of determining, on the basis of at least one criterion, that a new session is to be established; a second step of determining another access gateway, the other gateway being suitable for the service required by the user equipment; and a step of triggering the establishment of the new session between the user equipment and the other access gateway, the establishment being initiated by equipment of the packet-mode communication network.
