摘要： A method for creating a parallax video from a still image includes following steps. Image segmentation is performed for separating at least a foreground object within the still image from an image background of the still image. A blank region of the image background is filled, and the blank region corresponds to where the separated foreground object locates within the still image. A virtual three-dimensional (3D) scene consisting of the foreground object and the image background is created. The virtual 3D scene is analyzed for determining a camera path; and, creating the parallax video by observing the virtual 3D scene with a virtual camera moving along the camera path.

摘要： A multimedia processing apparatus, method, and non-transitory tangible computer readable medium thereof are provided. The multimedia processing apparatus of the present invention includes an interface and a processing unit. The interface receives an audio stream continuously, wherein the audio stream is defined with a time line. The processing unit performs the following operations every a predetermined time interval: (a) deciding a first portion of the audio stream with reference to a time instant of the time line, (b) calculating an energy of the first portion of the audio stream, and (c) calculating a difference between the energy and a previous energy. The processing unit decides a plurality of second portions of the audio stream and decides a beat point for each of the second portions by selecting the time instant that corresponds to the maximum difference within the second portion.

摘要： An electronic apparatus comprising an environment sensing device, a display, a touch sensing device, and a processing module comprising a main controller and a sub-controller is disclosed. The main controller performs a predetermined function based a touch input. The sub-controller computes a tilt angle of the electronic apparatus, and activates the touch sensing device without turning on the display if the tilt angle falls in a predetermined angle range, while the main controller is in the sleep mode. The processing module performs following steps when the display is off: determining the touch input is valid or invalid; keeping the display off if the touch input is invalid. The sub-controller wakes and activates the main controller to turn on the display and to control the electronic apparatus to perform the predetermined function according to a gesture formed by the touch input if the touch input is valid.
