There is provided a recording and reproducing apparatus including an HDD unit 40 and a VCR unit and having a structure in which the HDD unit 40 is mounted on an HDD holder 70 via dampers 61a and 61b and the HDD holder 70 is mounted on a main body chassis, wherein the HDD holder 70 is formed of a resin member and includes a placing plate 71 for placing and fixing the HDD unit 40 thereon and four leg pieces 72 and 73 provided in an extending manner downward from the corners of the placing plate 71, the HDD unit 40 being held in a slightly floating manner over the placing plate 71 by the dampers 61a and 61b.

    • A deck is formed integrally on a front side of a drive chassis. As the drive chassis is moved upward, a disk is mounted on a turntable. The disk is rotated at high speed by a spindle motor, and an optical pick up is reciprocatingly moved along a guide rail and a guide shaft, and a lens holder is moved in focusing directions and tracking directions. Laser light is projected onto the disk through an objective lens so as to read information recorded on the disk. Vibration damping holes and are respectively provided penetratingly in the deck substantially between a spindle motor fixing recessed groove of the deck and the guide rail and between the recessed groove and the guide shaft.

    • A disk apparatus includes a chassis, a disk tray and a tray panel unit. The tray panel unit includes a panel main body and a spring body. The spring body has a coil part, a pair of end attachment parts and a middle attachment part. An axial direction of the coil part is aligned with a width direction of the tray panel unit. The pair of end attachment parts extends from both axial ends of the coil part, respectively. The end attachment parts are fixedly coupled to one of the panel main body and a front end part of the disk tray. The middle attachment part is provided to an axial middle portion of the coil part. The middle attachment part is fixedly coupled to the other of the panel main body and the front end part of the disk tray.

    • A disc apparatus includes a chassis, a drive unit driven by a motor to be moved upward/downward in a prescribed direction, and a pick-up unit having a pick-up and driven by the motor to be moved in a direction orthogonal to the direction of upward/downward movement of the drive unit. The pick-up unit has an interlocking piece, and the chassis has an interlocking portion that can be interlocked with interlocking piece. In the disc apparatus, the interlocking piece provided in the pick-up unit is interlocked with the interlocking portion provided in the chassis when the drive unit is in a lowered state, whereby the pick-up unit is locked into the chassis. Therefore, reduction in the number of components and in the size of the apparatus becomes possible, and the lock mechanism of the pick-up unit can be formed in a simple structure.
