摘要： A fixing device includes a rotator that rotates and a fixing device cover. The fixing device cover includes an interior face that is disposed opposite the rotator, a first aperture that is disposed opposite the rotator, and a recess that surrounds the first aperture and extends in a gravity direction. A frame is interposed between the interior face of the fixing device cover and the rotator. The frame includes a second aperture that is disposed opposite the rotator and the first aperture. A rib is mounted on the frame and extends from the second aperture toward the interior face of the fixing device cover.

摘要： A nip formation member is configured to be disposed inside a loop of a rotatable belt. The nip formation member includes a base, a thermal equalizer, an attachment, and a fastener. The base has a bottomed fastening hole. The thermal equalizer is configured to face the belt and a surface of the base not having the bottomed fastening hole. The thermal equalizer has a higher thermal conductivity than the base. The attachment has a fastening hole and face another surface of the base having the bottomed fastening hole. The attachment is configured to fix and position the base and the thermal equalizer. The fastener is fastened to the bottomed fastening hole of the base through the fastening hole of the attachment from the attachment.

The second rotator forms a nip between the first rotator and the second rotator. A recording medium bearing a toner image passes through the nip. The heater is disposed inside a loop of the second rotator and heats the second rotator. The discharger is in contact with the first layer and the third layer and removes electric charge from the first rotator.

摘要： A fixing device includes a fixing rotator, a heater, a pressure rotator, a stay, a biasing member fixed to the stay, and a nip formation pad. The nip formation pad is supported by the stay, disposed inside the fixing rotator, and forms a nip. The nip formation pad includes at least one engaged portion at a position other than both ends of the nip formation pad or engaged portions at both ends of the nip formation pad. The at least one engaged portion engages an engaging portion in the stay to generate a first rotational moment. The engaged portions at both ends engage engaging portions in the stay to generate a second rotational moment. Each rotational moment is smaller than a rotational moment generated by engagement between an engaging portion in the stay and an engaged portion at only one end of the nip formation pad.

The pressing device housed in the apparatus body is configured to press a pressing body to a pressing target body. The opening body is configured to open and close to the apparatus body. The opening body presses a pressing target portion of the apparatus body, at a first pressing portion to cancel a pressing state of the pressing device by opening of the opening body and at a second pressing portion to enter the pressing state of the pressing device by closing of the opening body. The vibration insulator is provided on at least one of the pressing target portion and the second pressing portion, at a contact portion at which the pressing target portion contacts the second pressing portion when the first pressing portion cancels the pressing state.

摘要： A separator for separating a recording medium from a fixing rotator includes a separation body including a front end and a conveyance path side face. The front end is disposed in proximity to an outer circumferential surface of the fixing rotator. The conveyance path side face faces a conveyance path where the recording medium is conveyed. At least one rotary separation aid projects beyond the conveyance path side face of the separation body toward the conveyance path. The rotary separation aid is rotated by the recording medium as the recording medium comes into contact with the rotary separation aid.

摘要： A manually operated dot printer designed for use in a pocket-sized calculator or a small-sized electronic device includes a printing head which is manually driven across the dot printer paper in one direction to store energy in springs. The springs return the printing head in steps intermittently while the printing head effects printing on the printing paper. The springs also feed the printing paper. While the printing head is manually moved, the printing elements are maintained out of contact with the printing paper. During return movement of the printing head, the printing elements are in contact with, or nearly in contact with, the printing paper for printing operations. The actual printing operations of the printing head are performed with electrical control using elements of low power consumption.
