    • A packet-optical integrated switch without an optical transponder, includes: a packet line card configured to output an Ethernet packet signal to a pre-set output port; a packet switch fabric configured to transfer the packet signal from the packet line card to the output port previously set in a destination address included in the packet signal; a 10 gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE)/optical transport unit level 2 (OTU2) integrated line card configured to convert the packet signal from the packet switch fabric into an OTU2 optical signal having a pre-set wavelength; and a wavelength selection switch fabric configured to allocate the optical signal from the 10 GbE/OTU2 integrated line card to a pre-set wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) port by pre-set wavelength to exchange the optical signal to each port by wavelength, wherein the packet line card, the packet switch fabric, the 10 GbE/OTU2 integrated line card, and the wavelength selection switch fabric perform the reverse operations of the process, respectively.

    • The present invention relates to an ATM-PON system realizing an access network of FTTC/H(fiber-to-the-curb/home), more particularly, to an optical network unit function processing apparatus in ATM-PON system linked directly to a plurality of subscriber's lines. The present invention includes an optical distribution network(ODN) matching part carrying out a function of a physical layer required for connecting an optical network unit (ONU)to an optical distribution network; an ATM processing part exchanging an ATM(asynchronous transfer mode) cell with the optical distribution matching part, the ATM processing part carrying out functions of changing a header of an interactive ATM cell, routing, QoS(quality of service) buffering according to service connecting levels, processing real-time OAM(operation administration and maintenance), and UPC(user parameter control); an AAL1 processing part exchanging an ATM cell with the ATM processing part and executing AAL(ATM adaptation layer)1 processing functions such as segmentation of subscriber lines, reassembly, disposal and generation of a pointer, disposal and generation of an ATM cell, restoration of ARTS(synchronous residual time stamp) clock, and cell delay variation(CDV); and a processor connecting part controlling operational modes of the optical distribution network matching part, the ATM processing part, and the AAL1 processing part and reading operational states thereof, the processor connecting part inserting an OAM cell interactively and extracting the OAM cell outside, the processor connecting part reading and writing an external upward/downward connecting memory for establishment and cancellation of connection.

    • Provided is a passive optical network (PON) providing system of an Ethernet-based packet transport layer (PTL) scheme, including: a connection management server to manage a unified PTL connection overall over the network by establishing a PTL connection between an optical network unit (ONU)/optical network terminal (ONT) of a customer termination of one party and an ONU/ONT of a customer termination of another party, and by applying a PTL-PON scheme to a PON section between the ONU/ONT and an optical line termination (OLT); an OLT to manage a connection of a received packet, and to convert a format of the packet according to a transmission direction of the packet and thereby transmit the packet; and an ONU/ONT becoming an end point of the PTL connection to convert the format of the packet according to the transmission direction of the received packet and to thereby transmit the packet to a customer terminal or the OLT.
