    • An apparatus for testing a lens module includes a light source, a recording element, and an analyzing device. The lens module includes an actuator and a barrel. The light source emits a light beam towards the barrel. The light beam is reflected by the barrel and forms a light spot on the recording element. The recording element records a position of the light spot. The analyzing device calculates a distance between the position of the light spot and a reference position, compares the distance with a predetermined value, and determines whether the distance is larger than the predetermined value. If the distance is less than or equal to the predetermined value, the analyzing device determines that the lens module is satisfactory. If the distance is larger than the predetermined value, the analyzing device determines that the lens module is unsatisfactory.

    • An exemplary method for making a plurality of light blocking plates is provided. Firstly, a photoresist layer is formed on a substrate. Secondly, the photoresist layer is exposed using a gray scale photomask. Thirdly, the photoresist layer is developed to form a plurality of conical frustums on the substrate, and each of the conical frustums tapers in a direction away from the substrate. Fourthly, an opaque to-be-solidified film is formed on the substrate, and each of the conical frustums extends through the to-be-solidified film. Fifthly, the to-be-solidified film is solidified. Sixthly, the solidified film is separated from the substrate and the conical frustums, thus obtaining a light blocking plate module including a plurality of light blocking plates. Lastly, the light blocking plate module is cut into a plurality of individual light blocking plates.

    • An exemplary method for manufacturing mechanical shutter blades using a beryllium-copper substrate is provided. The method includes providing a beryllium-copper alloy substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; respectively applying a first and second photoresist layers onto the first and second surfaces; exposing and developing the first and second photoresist layers, thereby first portions of the first photoresist layer and second portions of the second photoresist layer are left on the first and second surfaces while an unwanted portion of the substrate is exposed to an exterior, the first portions are aligned with the second portions; removing the unwanted portion of the substrate using a wet etching process; and removing the first and second portions from the remaining portion of the substrate.

    • An exemplary alignment apparatus can align a first layer with a second layer. The first layer has a first alignment pattern. The second layer has a second alignment pattern. The alignment apparatus includes a supporting device for supporting the first layer and the second layer, a light pervious reference plate, and a viewing and adjusting mechanism. The light pervious reference plate has a first reference pattern spatially corresponding to the first alignment pattern on the first layer, and a second reference pattern spatially corresponding to the second alignment pattern on the second layer. The viewing and adjusting mechanism is adapted for assisting a human operator to align the first reference pattern with the first alignment pattern and the second reference pattern with the second alignment pattern.
