摘要： A dynamic spectrum management (DSM) engine may determine the channel quality of one or more channels associated with the DSM engine when packets are not being transmitted over the channels. For example, the DSM engine may trigger a channel quality measurement on a non-primary channel on a condition that a predetermined period of time has lapsed since the last activity associated with the non-primary channel. Channel quality measurement may be triggered via a data sending event on the non-primary channel such as sending a data frame on the non-primary channel. The DSM engine may perform respective quality measurements on multiple channels and store the respective quality values in a database. Time-averaged channel qualities for the channels may be computed based on the stored quality values for computing transmit power distribution of across the channels.

An entity running an external application (EA) may establish a connection between the EA and a centralized cloud controller (CCC) to access a service on the CCC. The EA may receive credentials for access to the service. The connection between the EA and the CCC may be established over a first interface. The EA may send to the service on the CES a query for an available small cell network (SCN) storage. The EA may receive from the service on the CES reply comprising a link to an allocated SCN storage. The EA may ingest one or more contents using the link in the allocated SCN storage. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive the cached content from an edge server in a small cell network.

A network may advertise its preference or content specialization to end users (e.g., so that end users can decide to attach to SCNs or networks with compatible preferences) and to other content networks (e.g., to influence content routing decisions or to negotiate partitioning of the specialization space). Such content specialization may apply to physical or virtual networks.
