摘要： Embodiments of a variable inductor and a communication device are generally described herein. The variable inductor may comprise a signal wire and a control wire to receive a direct current (DC) control current. The variable inductor may further comprise a magnetic material integrated with the signal wire and the control wire. When a DC control current applied to the control wires takes a first current value, an inductance between an input node and an output node on the signal wire may take a first inductance value. When the DC control current takes a second current value, the inductance between the input node and the output node may take a second inductance value.

摘要： Techniques are disclosed implementing acoustic wave resonator (AWR) filter architectures to enable integrated solutions requiring significantly less passive components. The primary AWR filter topology leverages the use of parallel resonator branches, each having a relatively narrow bandwidth that may be combined to form an overall broadband filter response. This architecture may be further modified using electronically-controlled switching components to dynamically turn specific branches on or off to tune the filter, thus realizing a programmable broadband solution. Shunt resonators may also be added to the AWR filter topology, which may also be controlled with the use of electronically-controlled switching components to provide further control with respect to roll-off and the location and number of notch frequencies.

The RVM comprises an associated RVM class that establishes a level of reconfigurability of low-level parameters of the RVM. The RVM class comprises one of a plurality of RVM classes in which each RVM class comprises a corresponding level of reconfigurability of low-level RVM parameters and a corresponding level of certification testing for reconfigured RVMs of the class. In one exemplary embodiment, the plurality of RVM classes comprises at least one RVM class comprising full reconfigurability of low-level RVM parameters and at least one RVM class comprising limited reconfigurability of low-level RVM parameters.
