摘要： Intrusion-protected memory-containing assembly including a substrate, a data storage component and processor on the substrate, and a chassis intrusion detector assembly around the substrate. The chassis intrusion detector assembly includes a first plastic film, a mesh including conductor wires arranged on the first plastic film, and a second plastic film covering the mesh. The conductor wires are connected together in a single circuit with the processor to form a single transmission line. The second plastic film has sealed edges integrated with the mesh such that the edges are inseparable without breaking one of the conductor wires of the mesh. The processor takes action to prevent access to data in the data storage component upon detecting a variance in current through or impedance of the transmission line defined by the conductor wires caused by breaking of one of the conductor wires, e.g., causes the data storage component to self-destruct.

摘要： Vehicle-mounted device includes an inertial measurement unit (IMU) having at least one accelerometer or gyroscope, a GPS receiver, a camera positioned to obtain unobstructed images of an area exterior of the vehicle and a control system coupled to these components. The control system re-calibrates each accelerometer or gyroscope using signals obtained by the GPS receiver, and derives information about objects in the images obtained by the camera and location of the objects based on data from the IMU and GPS receiver. A communication system communicates the information derived by the control system to a location separate and apart from the vehicle. The control system includes a processor that provides a location of the camera and a direction in which the camera is imaging based on data from the IMU corrected based on data from the GPS receiver, for use in creating the map database.

摘要： System and method for preventing collisions between a vehicle and objects in a path of the vehicle includes a laser system arranged to direct at least one laser beam outward therefrom and which is in an eye-safe portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, an imaging receiver for receiving at least one laser beam reflected from objects in the path of the laser beam, a processor coupled to the receiver and arranged to receive signals derived from the received laser beam and process the signals to determine a distance between the laser system and the objects from which the laser beam has been reflected, and one or more reactive systems coupled to the processor. The processor controls the reactive system to indicate the presence of objects at specific distances from the vehicle. This indication may be used to take preventive action to avoid the collision, either manually or automatically.

The component may be a vehicular component such as a door or window.

摘要： Vehicular navigation system updating system includes condition detectors that detect presence of an object or condition potentially interfering with movement of vehicles on a roadway, each condition detector being located on or alongside the roadway or in a vehicle. A signal, data or information about the detected presence of the object or condition is transmitted to a remote site at which a processor generates an update for a map based on the detected presence of the object or condition and directs communication of the map update to vehicles in a vicinity of a location at which the condition detector detected the presence of the object or condition. The vehicular navigation system of each vehicle uses the map with the map update to display or otherwise indicate the presence of the object or condition. Another map update is generated when the absence of the object or condition is determined.
