摘要： For use with analog telecommunications equipment that responds to in-band stimuli, a system for, and method of suppressing an in-band stimulus and a telecommunications infrastructure employing the system or the method. In one embodiment, the system includes: (1) a stimulus detector, associated with the analog telecommunications equipment, that detects a presence of the in-band stimulus and (2) a stimulus suppressor, coupled to the stimulus detector, that alters the in-band stimulus to cause the analog telecommunications equipment to disregard the in-band stimulus.
