摘要： The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a heat shield and to a heat shield manufactured with this method. Heat shields of this type are particularly used in the field of the automobile industry. According to the method according to the invention, an insulating material, performed in a suitable contour and consisting of graphite, for example vermiculite, without binding agent, is inserted as an insulating plate (4) between two flat materials (2, 3), consisting of sheet metal, for example. The flat materials (2, 3) are then connected to one another at their edges in a positive or non-positive manner. The insulating material is here compressed, before or after being deposited on the flat material, to form a coherent insulating plate.

The heat shield is intended to protect temperature-sensitive assemblies, components and connection lines from the direct impact of heat radiation and, possibly, acts as insulation. Moreover, the heat shield may also provide advantageous soundproofing properties. The heat shield is comprised of first and second plates that are at least partially deformable and an insulating material positioned between said plates. Preferably, at least a portion of said insulating material is in the form of compacted powder or flakes.

摘要： A screw connection, which is intended in particular for plastic members comprises a screw and an insert member which is to be nonrotatably fitted into one of the components involved in the connection and which receives the screwthread of the screw in an axial passage. In accordance with the invention the axial passage of the insert member is of a smooth-walled, that is to say screwthread-free, configuration and the screw has a screwthread, which cuts or grooves the female screwthread of the insert member. The screw, like the insert, can comprise an aluminum alloy, in which case however the alloy of the screw is of a substantially greater hardness than that of the insert member.
