    • A brake lever arm is mounted to a base member, with the base member fixed to a bicycle handlebar. The lever arm is pivotal about a pivot point on the base. The lever arm includes an adjusting mechanism that adjusts the position of the lever arm when the lever arm is in a brake dis-engaged position. The adjusting mechanism is slideable in grooves in the lever arm such that the adjusting mechanisms may be moved to positions that are differing distances away from the pivot point. The adjusting mechanism includes a contact member that engages a brake cable connected to the lever arm when the lever arm is moved from the brake dis-engaged position toward a brake engagement position. The position of the contact member with respect to the pivot point determines the effect movement of the lever arm has on the cable. In this manner, the adjusting mechanism adjusts the length of the stoke or travel of the lever arm from the brake dis-engaged position to the brake engagement position.

    • A bicycle brake device is disclosed for coupling onto either front or rear forks of a bicycle. The brake device is preferably has a pair of brake arms which are pivotally coupled to either the front or rear forks by a pair of mounting members. The mounting members are design to be installed on conventional mounting posts which can be attached to either a brake arch or directly to the fork. The brake arms have their pivot pins spaced upwardly and outwardly from the mounting posts brake arch or the fork to improve the braking force. Also, in a parallel push type of brake device, the position of the pivot pins increases the horizontal dimension of the linkage to reduce wobbling.

    • A relay device includes a first transmitting and receiving unit connected to a PON line on the upper-level side and performing mutual conversion between optical and electrical signals; a second transmitting and receiving unit connected to a PON line on the lower-level side and performing mutual conversion between optical and electrical signals; a relay processing unit relaying a downstream frame received by the first unit to the second unit, and relays an upstream frame received by the second unit to the first unit; and a control unit.     • A bicycle cable disc brake is provided with a cam assembly that has improved efficiency during movement under high pressure. Basically, the cable disc brake has a cable housing, a pair of friction members and an actuated mechanism. The first friction member is movably coupled to the caliper housing between a release position and a braking position. The second caliper is also coupled to the caliper housing and arranged substantially parallel to the first friction member to form a rotor receiving slot therebetween. The actuated mechanism is movably coupled to the caliper housing to move the first friction member from the release position towards the second friction member to the braking position. The actuated mechanism has a pair of cam members movably arranged between an axially retracted position and an axially extended position with a guide member interconnecting the cam members during movement between the axial retracted position and the axially extended position. In the preferred embodiment, the guide member is a guide pin that extends from one of the cam members and is received in a bore of the other cam member.
