The accessory includes a motor drive for the camera; an electronic circuit arranged to communicate with the camera body; a first connection terminal arranged to be connected to the first connection terminal on the camera body side to connect said first power supply to the electronic circuit of the accessory; and a second connection terminal arranged to be connected to the second connection terminal of the camera body to connect the second power supply to the motor. The first and second connection terminals are set in positions which correspond to the positions of the first and second connection terminals of the camera body and deviate from each other almost perpendicularly with respect to a direction in which the accessory is to be moved in mounting it on the camera body.
