摘要： A method for inputting text in a mobile terminal having a touch screen is provided. When detecting a touch-down, the mobile terminal displays a character of the touch-down point and nearby characters in an enlarged size and indicates the character of the touch-down point in the enlarged display. When a drag event occurs before a touch-up event, the mobile terminal determines the dragging distance and direction, changes the touch-down point to a new location according to the dragging distance and direction, and indicates another character at the new location. When a touch-up event occurs at the new location, the mobile terminal then inputs the other character indicated at the new location.

If a press event occurs in one of key regions displayed in the touch screen, it is determined whether a drag event occurs prior to occurrence of a release event. According to whether the drag event occurs, one of a separate input mode for inputting one of characters of a corresponding character group and a text input mode for inputting a word including one of the characters of the character group is executed. Thus, a user can easily input a character by rapidly selecting a desired input mode.

摘要： An apparatus and method for analyzing the spectrum of a wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) optical signal, in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical transmission systems, are provided. An optical filter includes an input unit for receiving a wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) optical signal via an optical transmission medium and outputting optical signals that have different incidence angles according to the wavelengths of the optical signals. Also, the optical filter includes a filter for receiving the optical signals from the input unit and separating the WDM optical signal into optical signals having different wavelengths using the difference between resonance lengths according to the different incidence angles. In order to analyze the spectrum of an optical signal, the optical signal is made incident upon etalon at different incidence angles according to the wavelengths of the optical signal, and the resonance length between two mirrors of etalon is varied according to the wavelengths of the optical signal. Accordingly, an optical spectrum can be obtained by detecting optical signals having different wavelengths.
