摘要： A structure for encapsulating a liquid crystal display device is disclosed. Openings are formed in a second material layer on a first substrate, exposing an underlying first material layer. The openings are substantially distributed over the perimeter of the first substrate. A sealant is placed in the openings, forming a sealant region for attachment of a second substrate to the first substrate. The sealant region is substantially perpendicular to a direction of length of the openings. In addition, the sealant contacts the first material layer and the second material layer through the openings.

A plurality of parallel openings are formed in a first material layer on a first substrate to expose a second material layer underneath. A predetermined sealant is placed thereon to form a sealant region perpendicular to the openings for attaching a second substrate, wherein the sealant contacts the first material layer and the second material layer through the openings for encapsulating the display device between the first and second substrates.

摘要： A LCD display method capable of over-driving the LCD panel of small, portable electronic apparatus is proposed. The display method includes the steps of: storing the input image data into a first random access memory (RAM); synchronously comparing a current image frame stored in the first RAM with a previous image frame stored in the second RAM; normally driving or over-driving a plurality of LCD pixels in accordance with the comparison result, wherein while a picture element of the current image frame is darker than the one positioning the same in the previous image frame, over-driving its corresponding LCD pixel; and copying the image data of current image frame stored in the first RAM to the second RAM for being the comparison reference of the next image frame.

摘要： A display device having slim border-area architecture is disclosed. The display device includes a substrate, a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of auxiliary gate lines and a driving module. The substrate includes a display area and a border area. The data lines, the gate lines and the auxiliary gate lines are disposed in the display area. The driving module is disposed in the border area. The gate lines are crossed with the data lines perpendicularly. The auxiliary gate lines are parallel with the data lines. Each auxiliary gate line is electrically connected to one corresponding gate line. The data and auxiliary gate lines are electrically connected to the driving module based on an interlace arrangement. Further disclosed is a driving method for delivering gate signals provided by the driving module to the gate lines via the auxiliary gate lines.
