摘要： A display device includes: a plurality of sensing data lines; a plurality of sensing units that output sensing signals through the plurality of sensing data lines; a signal selector that selects one sensing signal among the plurality of sensing signals; an automatic voltage adjusting unit that, when one sensing signal is selected by the signal selector, performs a controlling operation so as to allow a magnitude of the selected sensing signal to be in a predetermined range; and a voltage generator that adjusts the magnitude of the voltage applied to the sensing data lines based on a control signal output from the automatic voltage adjusting unit. According to the voltage adjusting operation, the sensing signal output through the sensing data line is always in an appropriate range. As a result, the touch determining operation on the sensing units can be accurately performed, so that it is possible to improve reliability of the sensing units.

摘要： A display panel includes an array substrate, an opposite substrate and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the array substrate and the opposite substrate. A sensing array outputs an initial voltage in response to an initial thickness of the liquid crystal layer during an initializing time and a sensing voltage in response to a varied thickness of the liquid crystal layer due to external force during a sensing time. A control part compares the sensing voltage with the initial voltage, determines whether the external force is applied to the display panel, and generates information indicating a position to which the external force is applied. Thus, the display apparatus may improve sensing ability to an external signal inputted through the display panel thereof.

摘要： A touch position detecting method, a device using the method, and a touch screen display device having the device are disclosed. A touch sensing unit senses a touch event and outputs a sensing data. A reference update unit updates a reference data with an n-th frame sensing data provided from the touch sensing unit, based on a predetermined update signal. A position detecting unit detects the touch position by using the reference data and an (n+i)-th frame sensing data from the touch sensing unit. Therefore, the touch position is easily detected by determining a difference between the reference data and the sensing data at a certain time.

摘要： A display device includes a panel assembly, a backlight unit supplying light to the panel assembly, a first photosensor, a second photosensor, a sensing signal processor and a signal controller. The first photosensor is supplied with ambient light and light from the backlight unit to generate a first sensing signal. The second photosensor is blocked from the ambient light and receives the light from the backlight unit to generate a second sensing signal. The sensing signal processor receives the first and the second sensing signals from the first and the second photosensors for processing. 摘要： An image display system includes a light pen to generate light to input data, and a display panel to display images in response to the light provided from the light pen. The display panel includes a first substrate on which pixel electrodes are formed, a second substrate on which a common electrode are formed, and a photo-sensor formed on the first substrate. The photo-sensor detects the light provided from the light pen to generate a light detect signal. The image display system also includes a driving module to provide new image data to the display panel to display new images in response to the light detect signal from the photo-sensor.
