摘要： This rotary electric machine includes: an electric motor; a power supply unit including a heat-dissipation member, a power module, and a cover covering the heat-dissipation member and the power module; and a coolant path. A connection portion connecting the electric motor and the power supply unit is provided between the housing and the power supply unit. A cylindrical portion of the cover extends toward the one side in the axial direction and covers the connection portion from the radially outer side. The coolant path is provided at one or both of the heat-dissipation member and an area between the heat-dissipation member and the housing. The coolant path overlaps the power module as seen in the axial direction. The cylindrical portion of the cover has an opening through which a coolant passes, at a circumferential-direction position different from a circumferential-direction position on the radially outer side of the connection portion.

摘要： A rotating electrical machine such that a power supply unit can be efficiently cooled, with no increase in size in an axial direction of the rotating electrical machine, is provided. A rotating electrical machine main body and a power supply unit are integrally fixed, and a refrigerant passage is provided on the rotating electrical machine main body side of a metal frame configuring the power supply unit. The refrigerant passage and a control part that controls power supplied to the rotating electrical machine main body are disposed in the same plane in an axial direction of the rotating electrical machine main body, and the refrigerant passage is disposed farther to a radial direction outer side of the rotating electrical machine main body than the control part.

摘要： A first cooling air passage is formed to let first cooling air generated by a cooling fan in from a radially outside of an inverter apparatus to cool a heat sink and out through exhaust holes provided on an outer peripheral side of a rear bracket by passing an inner periphery of the rear bracket. Also, a second cooling air passage is formed to let second cooling air generated by the cooling fan into a hollow portion of the inverter apparatus from an axially rear of a rotation shaft to cool a brush holder and a magnetic pole position detection sensor and out through the exhaust holes by passing the inner periphery of the rear bracket. Hence, cooling performance for the magnetic pole position detection sensor and the brush holder may be enhanced and an axial dimension may be reduced.
