    • A docking connector comprises a first connector and a second connector. The first connector has an insulating first housing. The first housing includes guide pins that extend from a mating surface of the first housing. The guide pins are moveable toward and away from the first housing. The guide pins are locked in a position away from the first housing by a locking member. The second connector has an insulating second housing. The second housing includes guide pin receiving openings that receive the guide pins. The second connector has a lock release member for unlocking the guide pins during insertion of the guide pins in the guide pin receiving openings.

    • An electrical connector has an insulative housing with an engagement portion provided with contacts. A shield member is mounted to an exterior of the insulative housing and is connected to a circuit board. Guide posts protrude from a surface of the insulative housing for facilitating engagement of the electrical connector with a mating connector. The guide posts have tips positioned further from the insulative housing than the engagement portion. Conductive members are arranged on the tips of the guide posts. The conductive members facilitate electrostatic discharge with the mating connector and have retention legs connected to the circuit board independently from the shield member.

    • The present invention provides a cable connector that can reduce the stress that is generated in the solder connections between the contacts of the connector and the circuit board. The cable connector comprises a plurality of contacts, each having a contact part configured to contact a mating contact on one end, and a soldering part on the other end, a circuit board that is soldered to the soldering part of the contacts and is soldered to a cable, a housing that accommodates the contacts, the housing having a mating part disposed on the front thereof configured to mate with the mating connector and circuit board supporting parts that support the circuit board and extend rearward from both ends of the mating part, and locking arms disposed in the housing and configured to lock with a mating connector. The locking arms extend along both sides of the mating part and extend along the circuit board supporting parts.
