The URI is used to identify a location for a user selected digital media item. The digital media item is to be played in a local area network (LAN). The selected digital media item is retrieved from a content server over a network connection. If the selected digital media item is encrypted, a license to decrypt the selected media item is obtained. Access to the license is based on a plurality of access rules. The plurality of access rules are based on the terms of the license. The plurality of access rules may also include personal owner rules. If a request for the license adheres to the access rules, the license is received via a secure out of band transfer and the selected digital media item is decrypted for playback via one or more media rendering devices.

摘要： An apparatus and method for acquiring Internet real-time media channels in a private network. The method includes receiving a service advertisement from a media channel server. The media channel server acts as a gateway between one or more channel service providers and a plurality of rendering devices on a private network. A subscription identifier (ID) and a URI (Universal Resource Identifier) are sent to the media channel server to enable the media channel server to request Internet channel information from one or more channel service providers. If the subscription identifier (ID) is validated by the one or more channel service providers, the Internet channel information is provided from the one or more channel service providers via the media channel server. The Internet channel information is provided to a user for enabling the user to browse the Internet channel information and request media content found on at least one Internet channel to be rendered on at least one of the plurality of rendering devices.

摘要： Disclosed are embodiments for seamless, single-step, and speech-triggered transition of a host processor and/or computing device from a low functionality mode to a high functionality mode in which full vocabulary speech recognition can be accomplished. First audio samples are captured by a low power audio processor while the host processor is in a low functionality mode. The low power audio processor may identify a predetermined audio pattern. The low power audio processor, upon identifying the predetermined audio pattern, triggers the host processor to transition to a high functionality mode. An end portion of the first audio samples that follow an end-point of the predetermined audio pattern may be stored in system memory accessible by the host processor. Second audio samples are captured and stored with the end portion of the first audio samples. Once the host processor transitions to a high functionality mode, multi-channel full vocabulary speech recognition can be performed and functions can be executed based on detected speech interaction phrases.

摘要： The present disclosure describes a number of embodiments related to devices, systems, and methods locating a an object using ultra-wide band (UWB) radio transceivers embedded in carpet or other flexible material that may be rolled up and moved to various locations. Once in a location, the carpet may be unrolled and the multiple embedded radio transceivers may receive a signal from a tag attached to the object sending UWB radio signals. Based on the signals received by the UWB radio transceivers, various processes including time-difference on arrival, time-of-flight, and phase shift may be used to determine the location or the movement of the object.
