摘要： In a banknote storage box (16) of an ATM (1), a front guide (25) is attached to a front door (21) through attachment members (26) at four locations in a front guide attachment section (30). Intervals between faces (32 and 33) positioned on mutually opposite sides of each attachment member (26) are different for each of three attachment intervals LA, LB, and LC. Accordingly, in the front guide attachment section (30), a selected attachment interval LS is able to be adjusted between three steps without exchanging components by just changing the orientation of each attachment member (26) when attaching the attachment member (26).

In a banknote deposit/withdrawal device of ATM, conveyance path inside a conveyance section is formed in straight line shape running mainly along front-rear direction. During deposit counting processing of deposit processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device retains deposit reject banknotes in a conveyance path retention section within a second conveyance section, and decides and stores conveyance destination for each banknote based on verification results obtained from a verification section, and during deposit storage processing of deposit processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device conveys banknotes fed out from a temporary holding section to the decided conveyance destinations to be stored. During withdrawal processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device decides banknote conveyance destinations based on detection results of a run sensor of the verification section.

摘要： A banknote deposit and withdrawal apparatus causes a control section to function as an inserted medium counting unit, a normal medium counting unit and an abnormal mediums number calculation unit. The normal medium counting unit again feeds out and conveys banknotes from the banknote deposit and withdrawal section to the verification section in a quantity corresponding to the number of inserted banknotes, conveys abnormal banknotes that are verified as abnormal by the verification section to the banknote deposit and withdrawal section together with following banknotes but conveys normal banknotes that are verified as normal by the verification section to the temporary holding section and retains the normal banknotes therein, and counts a number of normal banknotes. The abnormal mediums number calculation unit subtracts the number of normal banknotes from the number of inserted banknotes to calculate an abnormal banknotes number.

摘要： The present invention provides a medium protection device and a medium separating and stacking device capable of avoiding damage to a medium when moving the medium along a guide. In a banknote cassette, a guide body is attached to a circumferential side face of a central body of a tongue piece roller in a range not provided with tongue pieces. When feeding out banknotes, the banknote cassette stops the tongue piece roller in a retracted state, thereby positioning an outer circumferential face of the guide body in the vicinity of the surface of a front upper curved portion of a hole in the conveyance guide, such that the hole can be placed in an almost completely blocked state. The present invention can accordingly prevent the vicinity of a corner of a banknote from entering the hole, enabling creasing during conveyance to be forestalled.
