摘要： A lighting system is disclosed for deploying dynamic lighting effects. The lighting system includes a plurality of lighting devices, each lighting device being adapted to deploy a portion of a dynamic lighting effect, a controller and a network communication module, each lighting device is communicatively coupled in a mesh network to at least one neighboring lighting device and adapted to communicate illumination state information to the at least one neighboring lighting device and a system controller adapted to broadcast a configurable dynamic lighting effect function to the plurality of lighting devices, said configurable dynamic lighting effect function defining the dynamic lighting effect to be deployed by the lighting system, wherein at least some of the plurality of lighting devices' respective controllers are adapted to configure the lighting device by configuring the configurable dynamic lighting effect function based on illumination state information received from at least one of the at least some of the plurality of lighting devices' neighboring lighting devices to facilitate deployment of its portion of the dynamic lighting effect, determining the at least some of the plurality of lighting devices' illumination state information from the configured configurable dynamic lighting effect function and communicating the determined illumination state information to at least one of the at least some of the plurality of lighting devices' neighboring lighting devices.

In various embodiments, mobile computing devices (100) such as smart phones or tablets may detect these coded light signals from the lighting effects and/or from the light sources, extract the location information, and utilize it to determine their locations within an environment.

摘要： Disclosed are methods and apparatus for lighting control. For example, a user may commission a touch-controlled luminaire (106) to emit light output having various lighting properties dependent on a manner in which the touch-controlled luminaire is touched subsequently. In particular, a user may use an electronic mobile device (102) such as a smart phone, tablet computer, or a wearable computing device (e.g., computing glasses, smart watches) to associate a touch event profile indicative of a manner in which a touch-controlled luminaire was touched (e.g., tapped, swiped, etc.) with a lighting control action. The user may then provide that association to the touch-controlled luminaire. When the touch-controlled luminaire is later touched in the same manner, it may adjust its light output in accordance with the lighting control action. Operation and commission of gesture-controlled luminaires (706) is also described herein.

A lighting unit (100) may include one or more light sources (104) such as LEDs, a pressure wave sensor (106), a communication interface (108), and a controller (102) operably coupled with the one or more LEDs, the pressure wave sensor, and the communication interface. In various embodiments, the controller may be configured to receive a signal from the pressure wave sensor, the signal representative of one or more pressure waves detected by the pressure wave sensor. The controller may be configured to determine, based on the signal received from the pressure wave sensor, that the detected one or more pressure waves satisfy a predetermined criterion. The controller may be configured to transmit, to one or more remote lighting units via the communication interface, notification that the predetermined criterion has been satisfied.

One or more LEDs (or more generally, light sources) (102, 202, 302, 502) disposed along the one or more axes of the flexible substrate may be energized to emit light having one or more lighting properties selected based on the detected one or more lengths.

The lighting unit may include one or more LEDs (102), an accelerometer (114), and a controller (112). The controller may: receive, from the accelerometer, a signal representative of a measured mechanical force applied to or movement of the luminaire in which the LED-based lighting unit is installed; determine, based on the signal from the accelerometer, that the measured mechanical force or movement corresponds to one or more predetermined forces or movements; and energize the one or more LEDs to emit light having one or more properties selected based on the determination.

摘要： A lighting device (100) arranged for rendering a light output is disclosed. The lighting device (100) comprises at least one light source (102) arranged for emitting light. The lighting device (100) further comprises a receiver (104) arranged for receiving at least one signal from at least one further device (110), which at least one signal is representative of a current location of the lighting device (100). The lighting device (100) further comprises a processor 106 arranged for controlling the light output of the at least one light source (102). The processor (106) is further arranged for determining the current location of the lighting device (100) based on the received at least one signal and for accessing a memory (108) storing associations between locations and light settings. The processor (106) is further arranged for comparing the current location to at least one stored location so as to determine whether a first similarity criterion is met, and for controlling, if the first similarity criterion is met, the light output of the lighting device (100) according to a light setting associated with the stored location. This allows a user to move the lighting device (100) between locations, and for each location the previously set light setting associated with that location may be applied to the lighting device (100). The processor (106) is further arranged for associating the current location with a current light setting if the first similarity criterion is not met, and the processor (106) is further arranged for storing the association in the memory (108).
