摘要： A method for operating a user equipment (UE) in a UE group including at least two UEs includes receiving, from a communications controller, network resources information about an allocation of a first set of network resources to the UE group and a transmission indication, where the transmission indication indicates that the UE is selected to transmit in a second set of network resources that is a subset of the first set of network resources. The method further includes transmitting, to other UEs in the UE group utilizing a direct mobile communications (DMC) link associated with the communications controller, a first message including a control indicator in a first subset of the second set of network resources, the control indicator indicating scheduling information for a second subset of the second set of network resources.

A method for communications controller operations in a multi-carrier system includes generating information for a broadcast channel, preparing the information for transmission, selecting a location for an unoccupied subcarrier from a plurality of available locations, and placing the prepared information into a plurality of contiguous subcarriers, where the plurality of contiguous subcarriers includes the unoccupied subcarrier and a plurality of other subcarriers. 摘要： A method of establishing a direct mobile communications (DMC) link between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, where at least one of the first UE and the second UE is communicating on a first cellular link includes requesting that at least one of the first UE and the second UE participate in an evaluation procedure to determine a potential quality of a DMC link proposed between the first UE and the second UE. The method also includes receiving a report from at least one of the first UE and the second UE indicating the potential quality of the DMC link proposed between the first UE and the second UE according to the evaluation procedure. The method further includes establishing the DMC link between the first UE and the second UE if the potential quality of the DMC link exceeds a predetermined threshold.

The communications controller is configured to allocate a first set of subframes to a group of UEs for a DMC link, allocate a second set of subframes to a particular UE in the group of UEs, transmit a first message including information about the first set of subframes to the group of UE, and transmit a second message including information about the second set of subframes to the particular UE. The second set of subframes is a subset of the first set of subframes, and information about the second set includes subframes in which the particular UE may transmit to other UEs in the group of UEs. Subframes in the first set not in the second set are allocated for reception by the particular UE.

In an embodiment, the communication controller uses HARQ processes for cellular UE transmission that are determined independently from HARQ processes of the group of HARQ processes for the DMC link, and the parameters are configured to enable the group of UEs to manage the group of HARQ processes for the DMC link.

The plurality of transmission resources are mapped to physical resource blocks that are non-contiguous in a frequency domain.

A method for communications controller operations includes allocating network resources to a communications link. The communications link includes an uplink (UL) part and a downlink (DL) part. The first indication and the second indication are based on an amount of network resources allocated. The method further includes if the type of the allocated network resources is equal in the DL part and the UL part, transmitting an indication of the allocated network resources for one part of either the UL part or the DL part.
