摘要： Techniques for co-existence between wireless Radio Access Technologies (RATs) are disclosed. During an active period of a Discontinuous Transmission (DTX) communication pattern, a first signal may be transmitted during a first subframe and a second signal may be transmitted during a second subframe, while during an inactive period the first signal may be transmitted during the first subframe and the second signal may be omitted during the second subframe. Retransmission of one or more packets may take place over a subset of less than all retransmission opportunities based on the DTX communication pattern. A Secondary Cell (SCell) may be reconfigured as the Primary Cell (PCell) and the PCell may be reconfigured as the SCell for one or more access terminals based on a load balancing condition or a channel selection condition.

The technique may also involve switching to a second mode and using a second radio access technology (RAT2), and using the interference measurements from the first mode to minimize interference caused or experienced by the network entity in the second mode.

An access terminal may receive a synchronization advertisement message and perform one or more measurements of the neighboring access points.

A base station may configure bursts of synchronization signal (SS) blocks for discovery reference signal (DRS) transmission. The base station may transmit an SS block set in an SS burst according to a beam sweep pattern, which may be repeated for a subsequent SS block set. The base station may configure a number of SS block sets in each SS burst and transmit each SS block in an SS block set using a different beam. Each SS burst may be transmitted according to a different beam sweep pattern and the base station may repeat transmission of SS bursts according to a DRS repetition periodicity. A user equipment (UE) may sweep through antenna sub-arrays during reception of an SS burst to determine a suitable sub-array for communication.

During the first interlace, transmission over the medium may be cycled in accordance with the TDM communication pattern, and deactivated during a second interlace among the plurality of interlaces that is reserved for a second operator.

摘要： When communications of a single radio access technology (RAT), or different radio access technologies in a proximate communication spectrum are operating at the same time, potential interference between devices may occur. To reduce the interference, the time division duplex (TDD) configuration of one or more conflicting device may be altered. For example, at the edge of a communication region, TDD configurations used by edge base stations to communicate with mobile devices may be set to reduce interference. As another example, communications of a first device may be altered so the first device schedules uplink communications when a second device also has uplink communications scheduled. Other configurations may also be implemented.
