    • A system is utilized to view and configure one or more print job scenarios within a print system. A preference module allows a user to select one or more preferences related to a print job in view of a job set and one or more limitations related to hardware within the print system. A rules component creates one or more rules for use within the print system to output a hard copy based at least in part upon the preferences selected via the preference module. A scheduler receives one or more rules from the rules component and configures the print system to execute the print job according to the preferences and/or the rules. A visualizer displays a scenario associated with each print system configuration, wherein the preferences and the rules can be edited to create one or more scenarios for execution of the print job.

    • A system for handling objects includes a first image marking engine operative to mark objects, and a second image marking engine operative to mark objects. In addition, the system includes a first object delivery path operative to transport objects presented by the first image marking engine to a first destination. A second object delivery path is operative to transport objects presented by the second image marking engine to a second destination. The first and second destinations may be a single destination, separate destinations, or interchangeable destinations. At least one object is identifiable to isolate at least one aspect of a delivered object. The at least one object includes an associated object itinerary representing at least one object route through the system. A controller is provided to query the object itinerary to correlate the at least one aspect to at least one of the first image marking engine, the second image marking engine, the first object delivery path, and the second object delivery path.

    • In color printing with a color registration system for the registration of plural color images on an image bearing surface, such as a photoreceptor belt of a color printer, chevron shaped registration marks are imaged on the image bearing surface, which registration marks correspond to the color images and are sensed by a registration marks sensor as the image bearing surface moves in its process direction. The registration marks sensor has chevron shaped optical sensing areas provided by a matching pair of spaced apart elongated bi-cell detectors in a generally chevron shaped pattern. Each of these spaced apart elongated bi-cell detectors has a parallelogram shaped optical sensing area. That parallelogram shaped sensing area is defined by elongated parallelogram sides extending at the same angle as one leg of the chevron shaped registration marks, and parallelogram ends which are parallel to the process direction, so as to provide higher color registration accuracy.
