In embodiment(s), user interface panels can be generated for individual display on a small screen device as well as for display together to form a nested user interface on a larger display device. Each user interface panel can be individually displayed to encompass a small display screen on the small screen device. Additionally, a television client device can render a nested user interface that includes a plurality of the user interface panels displayed together to form the nested user interface on a larger display device.

In various embodiments, a content navigation input is received, such as an input to a client device, to initiate a display of a media asset navigation interface from which media assets can be selected. Groups of related media assets are determined, and each group of related media assets is represented for user selection from the media asset navigation interface. A visual element is identified for each group of related media assets, and the visual elements each provide a coherent visual representation of the related media assets in a respective group. A display can be initiated of the visual elements in the media asset navigation interface where each of the visual elements are selectable to individually navigate the related media assets in the respective groups.

摘要： Recommendations from stochastic analysis is described. In embodiment(s), a media content distributor can receive a request for movie recommendations from a viewer via a television client device. The content distributor can then provide various movie selection choices where each choice includes two movies having disparate identifying criteria. The identifying criteria can include any combination of a category of a movie, an attribute of the movie, or an aspect of the movie. The content distributor can receive viewer selections of one movie from each of the movie selection choices and then generate the movie recommendations for the viewer. The movie recommendation can be generated by stochastic analysis of the identifying criteria associated with the viewer selected movies from each of the movie selection choices.

摘要： Navigation logic and related methods are described for assisting a user in using a remote control (RC) device. The navigation logic determines a current state of a user's interaction with an application, and then determines the keys of the RC device that are relevant to the determined state. The navigation logic then displays a representation of the relevant keys on a user interface presentation of a presentation device. The representation resembles a physical layout of associated physical keys on the RC device. To assist the user in focusing on the relevant keys, the representation de-emphasizes other input mechanisms of the RC device that do not have a bearing on the user's current interaction with the application. One exemplary way of de-emphasizing these other keys is to entirely omit these keys from the representation.
