摘要： In order to configure a communication device connected to a wireless network including N communication channels, the communication device being adapted for communicating via one communication channel at a time, means of selection of a channel from amongst the N communication channels enables: selecting a communication channel with an unknown disturbance level, when the disturbance level of at least one communication channel is unknown; and otherwise selecting the least disturbed communication channel. Dynamic configuration means include means for reactivating the selection means in case of disturbances representing unsatisfactory transmission conditions on the selected communication channel according to a predetermined criterion. The dynamic configuration means are deactivated when the selection means have been reactivated N times.

摘要： A wireless communication system includes a first access point managing a first wireless local area network and at least one second access point managing at least one respective wireless local area network. A CSMA/CA procedure is employed. The first access point is involved in a real-time sensitive transmission. Each access point implements an energy detection mechanism and a preamble detection mechanism in the context of the CSMA/CA procedure. The energy detection mechanism is implemented for accessing the primary channel and for accessing each secondary channel. The preamble detection mechanism is implemented for accessing the primary channel and optionally for accessing each secondary channel. A decision making unit instructs the first access point and each second access point to use the same primary communication channel. This improves the conditions under which the real-time sensitive transmission takes place.

摘要： Some appliances, normally supplied by a mains supply, also comprise an emergency supply by batteries able to take over from the mains supply. The batteries used by the emergency supply are generally protected by a fuse. These appliances are liable to consume greater than what could be supplied by the batteries of the emergency supply. When there is a break in the mains electrical supply, it is then preferable to limit the current consumed by the appliance in order not to damage the fuse protecting said batteries. However, the fuses are hardware modules having a reaction time of a few hundreds of milliseconds. If it is wished not to damage the fuse, it is therefore essential to reduce the current consumption of the appliance within a time less than the reaction time of the fuse. The invention relates to a system and method for instantaneously reducing the electrical consumption of an appliance in the event of a break in the mains supply.

摘要： An interconnection device for interconnecting between first and second networks, between which there pass critical data streams having a bandwidth reservation requirement in order to ensure rate and latency constraints, performs, for each critical data stream, the interconnection device: measuring an effective rate of said critical data stream; checking whether said measured effective rate is greater than the sum of a previously reserved bandwidth and a tolerance bandwidth; checking whether said measured effective rate is lower than the previously reserved bandwidth, from which the sum of a margin bandwidth and tolerance bandwidth is deducted; and in the event of positive check, adjusting bandwidth reservation for said critical data stream to a value equal to the sum of the measured effective rate for said critical data stream and the margin bandwidth.
