    • An image sensor includes a base an image sensor chip, and a cooling element. The base includes an opening disposed in the base. The image sensor chip is connected electrically to the base and covers the opening. The cooling element is received in the opening and is connected thermally to the image sensor chip. Heat produced by the image sensor chip can be dissipated in time by the cooling elements in the image sensor. The cooling elements maintain the image sensor chip works under a temperature no more than the rated working temperature of the image sensor chip and therefore extend the life of the image sensor, and improve the image quality of the image sensor chip.

    • An optical filter switching apparatus of a surveillance device includes a housing, a driving apparatus, a optical filter holding bracket, and at least two optical filters. The housing includes a top housing and a bottom housing. A guiding mechanism is placed in the bottom housing, and the optical filter holding bracket is engaged with the guiding mechanism. The driving apparatus is placed beside the guiding mechanism and configured for the optical filter holding bracket. The optical filters are positioned on the optical filter holding bracket. The driving apparatus controls the guiding mechanism to switch the position of the optical filters in a smooth and a steady manner.

    • An image lens structure includes a lens module, a supplementary lamp, a light shield, and a lid. The lens module has an image lens that is surrounded by the supplementary lamp. The light shield is fixed to an inner portion of the supplementary lamp by engagement screws and springs. The image lens is surrounded by the light shield. The lid is disposed over the image lens. The light shield abuts the lid around the active area of the image lens, and is capable of moving with the orientation of the image lens. The light shield prevents dazzle resulting from the light generated by the supplementary lamp.

    • An image capture device includes a front shell, a circuit board, an image sensor, an elastic sheet, and threaded fasteners. The front shell includes a rear surface. The front shell defines three first threaded holes in the rear surface. The circuit board is positioned on the rear surface and defines at least three second threaded holes. The second threaded holes are aligned with the first threaded holes. The image sensor is positioned on the circuit board. The elastic sheet is positioned on the rear surface and covers the circuit board. The elastic sheet includes a number of elastic arms. The elastic arms protrude towards the circuit board and resisting against the circuit board. The threaded fasteners correspondingly pass through and engage with the first threaded holes and the second threaded holes to secure the circuit board to the rear surface. The threaded fasteners are capable of adjusting the circuit board.

    • A button apparatus includes a button, a cover pivotally engaged with the button, and a chassis secured to the cover. The chassis includes a frame, an opening defined in the frame, and an elastic element connected between two opposite sides of the frame. The elastic element includes a first contact portion and a second contact portion. The button includes two pressing portions extending outwardly from two opposite sides thereof. The two pressing portions are arranged at two opposite sides of the elastic element. When the button is depressed, it moves relative to the cover from an original position to a depressed position, causing one of the first and second contact portions to be resiliently distorted and abut one of the two opposite sides of the body. When the button is released, the elastic element restores the button to the original position.
